3rd Eye Blind, God of wine: Every glamorous sunrise throws the planets out of line, a star sign out of whack, a fraudulent zodiac, and the God of wine is croutched down in my room, you let me down, I said it, now I'm going down, and youre not even around...
Edwin McCain, I'll be: Strands in your eyes, that color them wonderful, stop me and steal my breath. And emeralds from mountains thrust towards the sky, never revealing their depth. And tell me that we belong together, dress it up with the trappings of love, I'll be captivated, I'll hang from your lips...
Guns, November Rain: When I look into your eyes, I can see a love restrain. Darling, when I hold you, don't you know I feel the same. Nothing last forever, and we both know hearts can change, cause it's hard to hold a candle in the cold November rain. _________________ "edit : i luv james" - Layzcarter |

At least someone besides you or me referred to a GnR song.
She's got eyes of the bluest skies and if they thought of rain, I'd hate to look into those eyes and see an ounce of pain. Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place where as a child I'd hide and pray for the thunder and the rain to quietly pass me by.-Guns n' Roses, Sweet Child 'O Mine
As long as were on the subject of Axl's lamest lyrics. _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |

Aerosmith, Sweet Emotion: I pulled into town in a police car
Your daddy said I took you just a little too far
Tellin' other things but your girlfriend lied
You can't catch me cause the rabbit done died
While the whole song is gold I like this line the best because of the last part. "The rabbit done died" is supposed to mean that Steve knocked up a girl because they used to use rabbits in pregnancy tests.
Aerosmith, Love in an Elevator: Jacki's in the elevator
l*ngerie second floor
She said 'Can I see you later
And love you just a little more?'
I kinda hope we get stuck
Nobody gets out alive
She said I'll show ya how to fax in the mailroom honey
And have you home by five

The whole song is just fun in general. Its about doing it in an elevator so what's not to like?
Aerosmith, Crazy: C'mere baby. You know you drive me up the wall with the way you make good for all the nasty tricks you pull. It seems like we're makin' up more than we're makin' love. It always seems like you got something on your mind other than me. Girl you've got to change your crazy ways. You hear me?
There just isn't enough Aerosmith appreciation in this thread. _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |

Blind Melon, No Rain: All I can say, is that my life is pretty plain, i like watching the puddles gather rain.
Saliva, Always: I see the blood all over your hands. Does it make you feel more like a man? Was it all just a part of your plan? The pistols shaking in my hands, and all I hear is the sound...
(don't kill me for this) R Kelly, Downlow Remix: You say you want me, but he needs you. Baby, tell me what am I going to do about this f**king threesome love affair? If Mr. Bigs comes in and catch us, Oh my goodness, he'll be freaked when looking at your pretty titties in the air.
Ghetto boys, Damn it feels good to be a gangsta: Real gangsta ass niggaz don't talk much, all you hear is the black from the gun blast. And real gangsta ass niggaz don't run from s**t, 'cause real gangsta ass niggaz can't run fast.
Same song: And now, a word from the President; Damn it feels good to be a gangsta, getting voted into the White House/ so the voters of the world keep supporting me, and I promise to take you very far, better not upset me or i'll send a million troops to die at war. So all you republicans who helped me win, I'll sencerely like to thank you, cuz now i have the world swinging from my nuts, and damn it feels good to be a gangsta. What's the point? Besides, if I'm reading the abbreviations right, half of those supposed "good groups" are hardly better than Good Charlotte. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Whats "Good" To me might be bad to you, but whats "Good" to you I might hate. Its all opinion, though I do hate the anginist songs there a few that are okay. Waldorfworldwide has no anginist that I can see. That reminds me... Waldorfwordwide, GC, "I want a hot girl and a little bit'a money!" |

Not what I meant. I never ever criticize for what is good and bad on taste or preference. Listen to whatever you want for whatever reasons. I do. Pretty Boy Floyd aren't technical masters by any standards.
But based on skill and talent, half those groups on that list suck. Technical ability, writing, arrangement, presence, range, all those factors that aren't simply whether you enjoy listening to it or not. Are they competent musicians or do they have the skills of a kid who's only been playing a couple years? Is their music simple for no reason? Empty? Do they have poor arrangements that show a lack of knowledge or instinct in layering sounds, or do they have a good blend of elements that is pleasing to the ear and follows basic theory? Do their lyrics show skill in writing, or are they full of cliches and overused metaphors? Does their vocalist have range and strength?
All those elements that can be evaluated impartially. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Looks like fallen had to give her monthly "whats good for your taste and whats actually good talent-wise" speech to another no0b in the Music section. Don't you get tired of writing those yet?
Anyways, to get this topic back on track I just remembered some great Aerosmith lyrics.
Aerosmith, Walk On Water
When it comes to makin' love I ain't no hype
'cause I practice on a peach most every night
hey little darlin'
your love is legendary
love's four letters
ain't in my dictionary
'scuse my position
but it ain't missionary
ah, but I want to
walk on the water with you
well, the cook's in the kitchen
and hidin' the spoons
I'm winking at witches
and howlin' at the moon
I'm afraid of the candle
but live for the flame
you know who I am
but you don't know my name
Its a great song. There's more good songs but I have to look for my other CD.
I'll be back here soon I'm sure.

Yes. *cries*
I <3 Walk On Water. So damn much.
Crash Kelly, "Love Me Electric"
Shocker, shocker, Mister glam rocker
Picture hangin' down from every school girl's locker
Glitter on their fingernails, my image on a shirt
Readin' all the magazines so they can get the dirt
These kids all think they understand
But they can never know
The scars and lies and alibis
That go into my show
300 nights a year I gotta lay it on the line
I play the role, I'm sellin' souls, I'm your neurotica divine
Love me electric, it's your comin' of age
Wax me prophetic when I see ya backstage
Love me electric 'cause ya need what you see
This rock n' roll therapy don't come for free _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I know this may be an obvious one, but still, it's a good phrase...
GnR, Welcome to the Jungle:
Welcome to the jungle,
it gets worse here everyday.
You learn to live like an animal
in the jungle where we play.
If you got a hunger for what you see
you'll take it, eventually.
You can have anything you want,
but you better not take it from me.
