Oh. Shakespere in Love is a horny movie. And why am I telling you this now? i honestly have no idea.

I don't think love deserves a capital L.

What's with all of the love s**t on this site? Er... hopeless romantics
My answer isn't on that little poll.

Love is real, but it doesn't last. There is no one true love for everyone. Sure, I do believe that there is one person or thing (animal) that someone will feel a great connection with and may have a void in their life filled by it. I do not believe fully in love, for if I did, I'd be extremely depressed after seeing how people who are in 'love' treat each other.

It really depends on what an individual wants "love" to be. Those who expect it to be Prince Charming and Cinderella happily ever after are the ones who wind up miserable and divorced again and again. People who expect it to be fireworks and sunshine forever really, in my opinion, are completely unrealistic and care about falling in love more than being in love. I don't believe in fairytale love, as most poor souls seem to. And I also don't believe in "soul mates", if only for the reason most people use it as an excuse for infatuation and love at first sight. Not even knowing someone (love at first sight) or not even meeting someone (celebrity infatuation for example), and using "we're soul mates!" to qualify their feelings... . . . .

People who are so desperate and obsessed with love, I believe, are the ones who will probably never really find it. They want it too much to even realize the difference between their fantasy and the reality. Kinda sad.

As I've stated before, I do sort of believe in soulmates. The thing is, I believe that it could be a lover, your best friend, maybe even a pet fish. Either way, it's someone or something you feel a strong connection to.

Haha! Yes, if he wants to sleep with you, he loves you! And never believe a rock guy when he says he loves you. Unless he looks sincere, then he means it. Very Happy

We give such good advice, Lasher. Well done.

On a sidenote, this thread reminds me of all the Van Hagar songs about love. "When It's Love" and such. I think I'm gonna be sick.

Wow, you're all so optimistic I could cry. Rolling eyes

Well, I will say though that love is a personal and individual thing, so nobody's answer or opinion is wrong. Love, like many things, is what you make it. Nobody can tell you what love is. It just makes me kind of sad that so many people look down on love. ;_; It's fine, it just makes me a little sad.

Because, well, me? I believe in love. Above most things. That's one reason I like the movie "Moulin Rouge" so much. I believe in the things that Christian says. To me, love is like oxygen. It is such a personal thing though. I could sit here and tell you that I'm in love and that I have high hopes for it and think that it's true, and to you it's only words, and most likely foolishness.

But I will say this. As much as my life wouldn't be the same without love, love is an oxymoron. Love is pain. Love, which to me, is the only way to achieve ultimate happiness, also brings ultimate pain. Because when you love someone, it hurts. You worry about them and you hurt when they hurt and suffer wanting everything for them. And I'm not even talking about the pain that is in risk when love ends. Love is pain and pleasure rolled into one. For most people, it's not worth it. For me, I'll keep doing it.

And that's just how I feel. ^_^ Yes, I am aware that I am a lovestruck dork, and I've never been happier then when I became a lovestruck dork.

its not listed.

love is sinking, and not being able to get back up. love is a killer machine designed to distract you.
or as i have always said "love is an insect that crawls inside of you, eventually it will fly out and die"
Love is over rated. sure, when ur in "love" it is one of the best feelings in the world, cause u feel like a magnet. but then all that is good, must come to an end, and she gets her friend to call u 8 months later because she doesnt want to cry on the phone, and u end up finding out that she doesnt see the relationship working in the future. Grr! and then u find out that she started seeing someone else like a week later. Love may not be the answer to all of life's questions.

I love you.
Are you sure her girlfriend wasn't the one who made her think that way? Laughing You know, trick her in to thinking a relationship wouldn't last?

Don't you just hate it when girls get their friends to defend them? It's like, get some guts you wussy. <_< Weaker sex, HA. A girl suffers much more horrible pain than guys do. IE: Giving birth. Need I say more?
love.... feels all nice and s**t at first.. but nothing can stay perfect forever. There are fights... and often you will disagree... for some there is paranoia and worry that the other person will cheat or whatever.. Taking the others feelings into consideration and sometimes doing what is best for them may make you unhappy if it interferes with your life. love is like anything else I guess... it has the ups and the downs. But when you are up.. it almost makes the downs worth it.

I feel faintish, like I'm light-headed.
Then I can't get to sleep because I'm thinking of him, my Mikey.
He sits behind me in class, and I blush like crazy!

...ill tell you what i think love is for me.......its when your want for each other is greater than your need for each other..........loving someone doesnt have to be about good sx or snogging (which can be nice i guess)...but its about actually feeling that you could be together forever and still not get tierd of each other. To be together and not need to say anything because you dont need to....but to just enjoy each other being there together........and to still  feel all girly or blush when he does something sweet.....or even when you just see him, after being together for years....*smiles*.........love should be about how you feel at that sperific moment......like when you look at someone you really like...that can be love too...even if its for a second or two....*smiles*
