It took long enough, but the film is finally in cinemas. So, anyone seen it, and if so what did you think?

I've caught THHGTTG in all the forms that I'm aware of, and I really enjoyed the fact that the film had surprises for me. It ws Adamsy, it was funny and it lent itself much better to film than I'd feared.

It was more than just a straight adaptation of the series so far. It was a further interpretation of the same story, with different jokes, incidents and insights, and I loved it Cool

i went to see it yesterday...
i quite enjoyed it.. some good jokes in there but it had some bad ones too... they were still funny though Razz

anyhoo good film which was worth the wait... allthough i wasn't waiting for it WTF?

I watched some of the series that was playing on BBC2 and thought it wasn't too bad, so I guess I'll go see it.

It was a good movie, they just kinda over inflated the dolphin song... "So long and thanks for all the fish" =D

I'm assuming, then, that they tell you that in the 5th book or the radio series O.o I finished up to 4 before the movie came out and was quite scared that it was going to be terrible. I really liked Zaphod in the movie, and the jumpy crab thing. The last scene and first scene, though, were really bad :/ I didn't like the dolphin part or the bit with Marvin. They blew Marvin up too much, I think. He wasn't funny :/ and Alan Rickman's voice-over thing matched the picture in a sort of odd way. All around, though, I thought it was good. The Trillian romance just bugged me since I knew Arthur liked that different lady in the 4th one, which I thought was much more interesting and sweet =D
