Junk E-mail

I've just begun to receive some junk e-mails and I would not have ever suspected they were from here, if not for this one...

It addressed me by my FAC name! The only other account I have with this name is Neopets, but it is really only my "Full name". My profile has never shown my e-mail before so I'm wondering what this is all about?! :wacko:

FAC doesn't spam or sell email addresses.

Could be from neopets or could be from an email harvesting spider, tho fac has some protection against such spiders.

Unsubscribe links typically just confirm to the spammers that you read their spam.

Google bot is a search engine bot and is quite useful, however spammers also have their own spiders which collect email addreses to spam.

FAC has some protection against that by hideing email addresses to people not logged in, but its not fool proof.

They do. When you view a user's profile information, it says "Click Here" next to their e-mail address. The link leads to a standard form (currently broken Sad

) which then sends an e-mail to the user's address.
