A number more like 350 - 400 would have made more since considering that's how it use to be without the panel, the 3 a day limit, and all the stolen and official s**t we use to get. Thank god for change!

I really have no problem with the approval waiting time on this site, I'm kind of shocked that one would have a problem with it. If you go to most other fansites it takes nearly a week to get your art up! Here, the longest I ever had to wait was maybe two hours? And I don't sit there hitting reload every minute, I just do something else like view other people's art or draw, work on something else. It's really not that long of a wait if you have something to do!
And this site is free too!! So I don't think people should be complaining so much. There's like hundreds of artists here taking up space and all, and we don't have to pay. I almost feel sorry for Denis because he has to pay for all of it and a bunch of people b*tch and whine over stupid things. Just be grateful!! Sheesh...

Thought I'd just say something about that. Now, getting back to the topic of the thread. My peeves:

1. WHOLE SCENTENCES WRITTEN IN CAPITOL LETTERS WITH A GAZILLION EXCLAMATION POINTS AT THE END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Though I have to admit to doing that once or twice...

2. Flammers, and I don't mean people who give constructive critism or anything like that, I mean people who make degrading remarks just to piss an artist off or make them feel unworthy.

3. Accounts started only to make fun of an artist.

4. Members commercialing their art on comments...that's annoying and kind of rude.

Well that's it. I really love this site! And one of the mods said something about not getting thanked(I think it was Lasher???), well...THANK YOU!! I apprectiate what you all do! ^_^

You have no idea how much one "thank you" or "good job" can do for the staff once in a blue moon. Especially after spening hours looking at the approval panel, when multiple users keep resubmitting the same thing that was rejected for being stolen, lined paper, to big and what not.

Not to mention the torture of category organizing that takes so much time, makes your eyes look all bugged out, and basically turns you into a walking, talking, mumbling, fumbling zombie.

So yeah, it is nice to know once in awhile that someone other than a staff member, who all ready knows what we're going through, to recongize the work we do and such for them. *sighs*

No problem. I sort of know what you have to go through. For a while I owned an art site, was never as popular though. But I know how much trouble it is to go through all the art and everything, catagorizing them(Though I just catagorized them by the names of the people who sent them in). I never got complaints, but I can imagined how pissed I would be if someone were to start whining about it not getting through fast enough, or anything like that.

Unless it's funny. But so far no one has managed to call out anyone else with any amount of humor, and that's lame. Only funny thing is they keep trying to rag on popular, well respected people like there's going to be any amount of support. That's slightly amusing.

When people seem to only think there are a few people on the staff that do anything. That pisses me off like nothing! Grr!

That's fucked up man. I know some people have more time than others, but that doesn't mean the rest are just sitting on their asses and s**t.

Quite. Most don't make a big deal out of what they do, but it doesn't mean they don't do it. I admit to not approving as much as a lot of people, but ya gotta understand I don't watch any anime or the shows most fanart is for, and the last thing I want to do is fuck up the new organization. So I leave it alone until someone who knows the show can check it.

Sometimes I wish someone would speak up n' try to call me out on something. Layz gets all the fun. I quite enjoy playing with such morons.

Yeah, that's what i'm saying. I mean, i don't do as much as i use to, and i admit that. But i've done some hard ass work in my time. And it isn't like i just gave up and decided to leave the rest to everyone else. Hello, i do have a life. If i could just drop everything and sit on my computer all day and f**k about and not worry about my grades and putting this yearbook together, while worrying my ass off on how i'm suppose to buy a new pair of jeans which i badly need, then i would!

And no, i'm not yelling at anyone who's been getting credit. I'm yelling to blow off some steam. I'm just pissed that some people only seem to think the same few do the work and s**t.

Personally, if someone bashes me, go right ahead. If they don't, couldn't care less, i got enough s**t to do than put up with some f**k ass bitch who fucked up and feels like starting it with me.

And yeah, leave the s**t you don't know. I do it all the time. Everytime i come on and there is something to approve, it's 60! and all of it i don't have a clue about. People need to get off with the sonic s**t all ready i swear. *mutters* i'm all grumpy now with this s**t.

I don't like it!!!

Wow! It sure looks like some tempers were flying here. I finally had a chance to read several pages of this post including the stuff about the approval panal.

I think the approval panel is a good idea. And I never have to wait long for my picture to make it. Most of the time I submit a pic and less than an hour later it's posted. I work full time and am very active in my church so sometimes I go for a whole week without visiting the site. What I just do is if I want to see the recent pictures then I go to the category I am interested in and sort them by dates. I can certainly understand not wanting the site to collapse. Mine just collapsed recently Sad

and now I have to rebuild it from scratch with only one or two other people to help me. It's hard when you're busy and people are e-mailing you asking when you are going to get your site back up again. Anyway that's my two cents worth about the approval panel and time it takes.

A pet peeve of mine is when the pictures are so huge you can't see them. I have clicked on pictures and all I can see is a corner because it is so big. I always leave comments suggesting they reduce the size so that we can see the whole thing. Weather or now they follow my suggestion is another story. I always have to reduce my pictures to about 30 - 40% of the original size otherwise it would take up way too much space and take too long to load.

I also agree on what people said about the comments with the poor spelling and grammar. It does not take that long to leave a comment that is grammatically correct. I also get irritated when people seem to be feeling sorry for themselves saying they are leaving because no one comments on their pics or something like that. Get off the pity-pot folks. All it does is turn people away. I made two friends promise me that if I ever got on my pity-pot then give me a swift kick in the butt and these friends are as literal as you can get. When they say they are going to give you a swift kick then they do.
Okay that's the end of my long post. I hope I didn't offend anybody. If so then my apologies.

Super huge images should be being rejected, so all the newer submissions should be at least better. Can't really do much about the old ones.

Yeah, those things piss me off like no other. Everytime i find one it goes in a little e-mail to the abuse team. They e-mail the people telling them to resize it. And if it isn't, it gets dealt with.
