But then why is having premarital sex so wrong? If there were less sex songs like the example above, kids wouldn't think is was so neccasary and wouldn't do it as much b/c: the artist is saying its ok, they wouldn't have it shoved in their faces so much so they wouldn't have to think about it so much, right?

It isn't. Only conservatives and religious fanatics think it is. Pre[i]teen[/i] sex and early teen sex is, only because the brain isn't developed enough to understand consequences and it's a physical thing, not an opinion.

Er...my whole argument has been that it's not the song in the first place. "Slap that bitch" may not be the nicest thing in the world, but neither is "put a bullet in his brain". Kids aren't going out and sleeping around because of songs. They just aren't. If they are sleeping around and are listening to that music, it's the former that influences the latter.

In the same way kids listening to some of the darker metal aren't going out decapitating people or commiting genocide, the ones who listen to the sex songs aren't going out and becoming whores. It may not be the most enriching thing for either of them to be listening to, but if they like it, there's no harm.

If I had to pick (which I will when I get around to registering to vote), yeah. But I also live in a religious fanatic area that's highly conservative. Drives me nuts. The censorship (right down to school plays) is ridiculous, BUT that's another subject entirely.

I respect your side as well (else I wouldn't be wasting my time ), even if I come off...strong.... in arguments.

Hearing songs about sex may increase a kid's curiosity in it, but I still believe the ones going out and doing it are the ones who would anyway and are only attracted to those songs because of it.
