I figure that at .50 cents an hour I'll be sceaming Nikki's name in stunned ectasy in no time.
The fact that I will never see Nikki personally just makes me want someone who will appreciate the Crue but not like dress like them. Someone who like can rock the 80s metal look but doesn't imitate them. I've never found copycats like relationship material.
Fifty-cents-a-screw material...You bet your ass. Commited relationship...eh, I could do better. _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |

I don't mean exact copycat, like tribute band level (although some of those guys who only dress that way onstage are muy bueno). Just the ones with a similar style. I  them so very much.
To use an analogy, Nikki imitator : Nikki :: Stevie Rachelle : Bret Michaels
It's just a loving similarity, not clone. And a sexy one at that.
Anyway, point is, there's eye candy galore at the Crue show, so everyone must go!

As long as there is just as much eye candy for the ladies as for the men then I'm game.
Tribute bands are pretty hot. I've heard a couple of GnR tribute bands (favorite one so far is Paradise City.) None of them looked like the band members but they still rocked the style in their own way. There's just something about a guy with long blonde hair with the Axl bandana and backwards cap combo thats pretty sexy.

I should come to this forum more often.. I haven't been here for awhile but I do have a concert review even though its from April.
Velvet Revolver 4/28
As Fallen mentioned Hoobastank does suck ass. I never did understand why they opened for Velvet Revolver in the first place. That pair just does not work. I've never seen such a lifeless crowd in my whole entire when they started to play. I loved it when a group of people on the floor flicked off the lead singer and when people threw everything back at them like waterbottles, picks, drum sticks....Most of my entertainment during this was watching a fight on the floor.
Unfortunately for us, Velvet Revolver was 30 minutes late. It sucked because they didn't play of all the usual songs like Used to Love Her. I was so pissed. I really wanted to hear Scott sing it. Anyways I wasn't on the floor because my brother refused to go if we were on the floor and he's my only ride there. We were in about row 12 but moved down to the 2nd row so we were pretty close. I was in pure ecstasy everytime Scott and Duff would come over to edge of the stage where I was  . They were so close yet so far away Anyways they kicked off the show with Sucker Train Blues and ended with Slither. They did two GnR covers, Mr. Brownstone and It's so Easy, two STP covers, Sex Type Thing(which Scott came out into the audiance during this one and said "Rock n Roll just isn't about observation, it's about participation." and also started dancin with the girls up there and got this one guy to sing "here I come, I come, I come".) and Crackerman ( one of my fav STP songs), and did a Pink Floyd cover Wish You Were Here which was awesome. And I won't forget when Scott was jerkin off with his mic. Great times.... One of the drawbacks though was the sound quality wasn't all that great. Duff's bass really drowned out the rest of the sound and you could barely hear Scott sometimes. Also Slash's solos were drowned out sometimes. That was a disappointment. But overall it was still a really good concert. I really wanted to sneak backstage but the security there was really strict and got everyone off the floor in about 2 minutes and anyone sitting in the first 5 rows were asked if they had passes or they had to go.. Damn security. I hate you...
And after the concert was over with I was talkin to this guy who got the 5 star VIP package. He got to meet the whole entire band, go to soundcheck, and get autographs. I was so jealous. Too bad those 5 star packages cost $250 otherwise I would've gotten it. I would've loved to meet Scott and Duff in person. Especially Scott. Mmmm.. I love that tight little snake like body of his. *drools*.... ok well anyways before I go into complete dreamland mode Heres the setlist:
Sucker Train Blues
Do it For The Kids
Headspace
Superhuman
Crackerman
Illegal I
Fall To Pieces
Dirty Little Thing
Big Machine
It's So Easy
Sex Type Thing
Set Me Free
Wish You Were Here
You Got No Right
Mr. Brownstone
Slither
...I was planning on going to a Crue concert in August but I didn't have enough money to get tickets since I was still recovering from the VR concert and now all the good seats are gone . I guess I'll just have to live with it... or always try and get tickets from this one guy who has a thing for me. Just gotta use some moves to get what I want .

Cool, you saw them a week after I did. What a week.
VR took out Hoobastank for the same reason the Crue is taking out Sum 41. They don't want to be nostalgia acts like the Rock Never Stops tour is every year. When Nikki was in Brides of Destruction, he refused to open for KISS if Poison was going to open. Which sucks for me, 'cause I'd have loved to see that. Make my $150 ticket more worth it.
I understand their point, I just wish they'd pick better bands. But I guess any remotely decent current acts are for the most part too small to open for them.
I <3 your sig. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

How long are Hoobastank and Sum 41 on for? Is it like almost as long as the actual concert? I'm not sure I could sit through that.
And holy crap! Scott Weiland used to have those kind of muscles? _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |

It depends on the band, but most openers have 45 minutes to an hour, with the headliners playing an hour and a half to 3 hours (usually tops off at 2-2.5). I don't know how many songs Hoobastank played 'cause they all sounded the same, but I'd guess about 6 or 7.
Poison's set was an hour, opening for KISS. They played the bare minimum of hits, about 10 songs.
If it's a smaller club with more openers, they get about a half hour each. Motley has two bands coming out with them for this leg of the tour, I believe, so hopefully they'll cut down both openers instead of an hour and a half of suck.
Motley didn't have any openers (except maybe a few dates in individual cities) for the first American leg, which rocked. Just straight into Crue. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Hoobastank played for about 45 minutes at ours. I know because I asked my brother for the time a lot because I couldn't stand it. I was really fidgety...

It all makes sense now... I wish they'd pick better bands too.

Yep and he was in VR when the pic was taken. But he doesn't really have them anymore ... Oh well. I still love him. .... I do miss his STP days tho. He was a lot more outgoing( you should see some of the outfits he used to wear... the towel and flag worked very nicely ) and he was more built back then too. As shown:

...But overall I like him better now.. |

Yep I know ... But then again if Scott never did heroin, he might've never been in VR and who knows what would happen then. |

Yep. He seems to be doing well lately. The program's worked for Duff for a long time, so hopefully Scott can stick with it. Scott's slimmed down and Duff's bulked up. What a wonderful band to look at. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Wow, its hard to believe he went from that kind of bulk to the heroin-chic skinniness (shown in my avvie by the way. Its just a shock.) Heroin really does a lot to a body.

Its definetly been a great year for bands to get back on their feet and just kick more ass than ever before. The Crue, Velvet Revolver, Nine Inch Nails, Cinderella, there's just so many.
Funds may go up because I bailed my family out of getting a father's day gift or in other words, kissing up=future cash.

Sid Vicious.
Should be reason enough. Sid and Nancy, wandering around in clothes they wore for weeks, covered in urine, passed out everywhere, eventual death.
Nikki, overdose, clinically dead, checking self out of hospital to go home and do more heroin than before. Running out of veins and being so desperate you shoot it into your dick.
Not that I'm still not horribly fascinated by it, but it ain't pretty. And you're too pretty to be all emaciated with track marks all over. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Nikki Sixx would've killed for veins like that. No dick shots of heroin with those babies.
Besides Gray, heroin would make you really scrawny. Like scary-scrawny. You're built up fine now. Don't screw it up now.
I think crack is a little less expensive anyway. _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |

Do it for very long and you'd still run out of veins. They'd be so scarred and hard you couldn't get a needle in 'em. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I never knew heroin could do that. There you go Gray. Another reason why heroin just isn't for you. Revert to alcoholism if you must. Vince Neil was one of those and the worst he dealt with was a car crash and bearing the fact that he was responsible for a very talented band member and friend. But other than that he turned out okay...except for the beer belly and flab he got durring down time. But other than that he got laid a lot. I guess thats an up side. _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |

Poke a hole in something enough times, the scar tissue is bound to build up. And track marks are ugly. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

True. Its another reason why the arm tattoos come in handy. Although I'm sure even those being to fade and look pretty crappy. Did Nikki do that dick shot of heorin only once? _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |
