Okay, when I first heard that there was going to be a film version of Bewitched, I was more than a bit apprehensive because I am a huge fan of the original sixties sitcom with Elizabeth Montgomery.
But I have seen some trailers recently and I've changed my mind. It looks like they're going to give a nod to the show. It'll be a movie within a movie. Besides, you've got Nicole Kidman (she wouldn't do a cheesy movie) and Will Ferrel (downright hilarious).

Nicole Kidman has been in some pretty sh*tty movies... The Stepford Wives, To Die For, Batman Forever....

And Will Ferrel is good... but after seeing Kicking and Screaming... I'm not so sure anymore Smile

The movie looks liek it's goign to be pretty funny. I'm not sure if I want to go see it, but after carter mentioning batman forever, I really wanna see batman begins. But Still, I might have a friend go see it and tell me Razz Just kidding, I'll wait until it's on DVD, if it sucks, I'll just sell it to echo and get my money back!

Saw it today, it was alright. There were some funny parts ("Promised laaaaaand" anyone who sees the movie will get that), but overall the plot was just too...perfect for my taste. Like these situations just happened to work out so perfectly for the plot that it all seemed very fake.

QUOTE (spoilers)
For example, the fact she gives up her powers and just HAPPENS to be noticed by him.  Wow, what are the odds.  I get that they're going for a real life representation of the tv show, and it's still a funny premise, but the believability is gone.  I also didn't like the loose end of Iris.  It felt really unfinished to have that plot line dangling out there.  Ok, so she's a witch too?  So?
Overall the comedy was fine, but the plot was lacking.

I didn't care much for Nicole's acting, either. There's being unaccustomed to everyday mortal life, and then there's seeming like a dumb blonde. She came off as the latter at times. Like she was mentally challenged.
