Dave's pitch, I mean, it's not as good as sammy's to my taste. Sammy's pitch is just, well all good to me, I mean dave's voice is all good, but by my hearing. Sammy's voice sounds better. Oce I know a bit mroe words in my vocabullary, I'll tell you it right, so you can understand. _________________ Wyat Fucking Earp! |

So you like Sammy's voice better. It's a personal preference. That's fine. But just because he has a more pleasing tone to you doesn't make him a better singer. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Damn I wish my mom had your mom's musical tastes.
I ended up first hearing about Van Halen through some guys in the Drama club. Everyone there has their appreciation for classic rock so its not unusual to see like five guys wearing the same Van Halen shirt and debating which album is the best or who rocked more, Sammy or Dave? I ended up buying their first volume of greatest hits and I was hooked.
My only dissapointment is that the first volume of greatest hits doesn't have Hot for Teacher and I was really hoping that would be on there. _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |

You just can't cram VH into a Best Of. Not properly, anyway. Everything up through 1984 is too hard to narrow down, 'cause there are so many songs that weren't singles that are just as good as the ones that were. Some bands, like Guns N' Roses, buy Appetite for Destruction and you have the best "Greatest Hits" there is. The real greatest hits album is a shallow summary of their music.
Same with VH. Except if you're one of the people who only likes the singles (Jump, Hot For Teacher, Panama, etc.), as I am with a few bands. I have Dokken's greatest hits and don't care to have their other 20 songs about love. Weed it down to the best 12 and I'm set.
Dreams is cheeeeeeeesy. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Well to your taste. That song can't convert me to an appropreate little girl, nothing can do that really.
I'd get all the VH albums if I could, but my ass is broke, I have 47 cents in my wallet. I need a job I know, I applied for one, but it got rejected.I might go work at echo or something. Back to the topic. I just don't like all the greatest hits of VH I liek the songs that didn't make it as greatest hits. I can't name some right now cause I forget, seinor moment.
But I like Dreams and nothing or no one can change my mind about it, and I know your not trying to change my mind, a stupid little kid woudl think that. Your saying your opinion! I need the word opinion to spack me in the face and say "hey that was her opinion!" Just kidding, but yeah, you go like dave's songs, and I go liek the songs that actually don't make me lick my own ass... _________________ Wyat Fucking Earp! |

I get tired of qualifying things with the "in my opinion" lines. It's pretty obvious if someone is saying it, it's their opinion. Some people write "in my opinion....it's just my opinion....yeah, but in my opinion" after nearly every sentence. It's like the "I'm sure they're a good person, but [insert degrading, new asshole ripping comments here]". You don't think they're a good person, it's just a measure to cover your own ass from being beaten by that person's fans.
So...yeah. I never write "in my opinion". 'Cause I'd have to write it a lot.

"So baby dry your eyes
Save all the tears you've cried
Oh, that's what dreams are made of
'Cause we belong in a world that must be strong
Oh, that's what dreams are made of
Yeah, we'll get higher and higher
Straight up we'll climb
Higher and higher
Leave it all behind"
That's a whole can of cheese whiz and some cheetos on top.
It's a decent song, don't get me wrong, but...it's still cheesy not their technical best music/writing wise. But if you like it the most, all the power to ya. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
