I think that Ryoko on fanart central likes to steal. I found some of "his" art on other sites all credited to different artists. pooooooo

Or e-mail Fallen or me... if you look on the Wall of Shame page, it gives you links to our information with our emails and other contact information. Let's all give Denis a little break...

Haha I never even noticed that. Could've told me, Denis. You know I don't look at things. Yes, I'm happy to deal with stolen pictures at ryansocelot@hotmail.com

but you never specifically said yes. I know I volunteered, but I don't automatically interpret your silence as agreeing. Rolling eyes

And if you need to get ahold of someone quickly... you can just come in the chat (Fallen or I may be there) or IM me at Kate Humps Trees (I promise, it's my actual screen name). Fallen, you need to use AIM more... then maybe I could actually talk to you more than once or twice a week. Damn you!

Don't blame me. Blame my computer and the psychos who have my sn. Every time I log on I get 10 messages with "Hey, what's up" from people I have no idea who they are and a variety of weird messages from people I do 'know'. Such as "*pounces*" from Izzy-ko. And it makes my pc laggy, so it's a pain in the @$$ to run IE at the same time. Not my fault. Cool

I have a Dell, thank you very much. AIM works fine on the newer one, but I'm always on the "old one". So you can also blame my brother for having all his game junk on the other one.

Hmm... Let me make sure I'm clear on this.

Using the original or tracing it is a big no no. Duh.

How about when someone goes into the mighty photoshop (or similar program) and colors over it? The images looks almost exactly the same except the duplicate looks much less professional. What then?

Coloring in another artist's lineart (if that's what you're referring to) is allowed ONLY IF (1) the other artist gives permission to do that, and (2) if the person gives proper credit to the other artist for drawing it.

If you have the time, you might want to check out this thread. It regards a similar thing that happened a while or two back.

If you're talking about taking a complete picture into photoshop and coloring over it, that isn't allowed under any circumstances. It's still tracing.

As for coloring another person's lineart, just to clarify, the guidelines strata gave are only for coloring another online artist's lineart with permission no matter what, be it asking the person directly or the description/comment with the lineart saying it's ok to color. Coloring official lineart or lineart by more well known artists is not allowed, even if you add a "so-n-so did the lineart" in the description. Giving credit is not the same thing as asking for permission.

Is that kind of stuff allowed to be approved on FAC? Just checking.

what the holy hane?

someone brought this thread to life? lol it's over a year old n.n ah...one of my first posts...

as far as morally goes, that's individual opinion T.T as far as FAC regulations go (not sure what the current stuff is) but you really are better off just doing your own stuff.
If you traced, that's bad
if you just colored, it's not bad, but it may or may not be allowed
if you just up and stole it you should be kicked where it hurts most lol
