I don't have playstation, or any other console that FF games are on. But I have played a little of FFVII. It kicks butt.
I have the Final Fantasy movie, though. But sadly it's not a game. |

X (ten) is the best in my opinion. It's a pretty hard question to answer, though. |

Why do you torture us with such questions! ;-; ::thinks:: i love all final fantasy ^^ but my fav is Final Fantasy VII despite its bad graphics. but it was made back in the late 90's. It would be so awesome if they could remake 7 with better graphics and keep the storyline. ^^ id buy it in a heartbeat if such a thing existed |

FFVII by so far...
The first 6 (or 5 seeing as 6 is 3...)are good, but 7 reinvented RPGs and gaming in general. To me at least. I never liked 8, I found 9 too hard to get into and although 10 and X-2 do rule, they still dont come close to 7!
The characters are soem of the best ive found in any story, the story itself is in my opinion, the best ever told, and come on, for its time the graphics were groundbreaking. Even by todays standards they arent *that* bad...
Gotta get that Final Attack materia and beat Weapon!! |

UK and UK missed out on a load of games from Japan, so the Japanese FF called FF4 was FF1 in US or something, not sure exactly how it happened, but the Japanese FF6 was called FF3 in the US and for some reason now we have all the Japanese names except 6, which we still call 3. But the rest of the world never got a FF6, so the only on we do have is the same as 3...ehh...someone has to be able to explain it better than me
Anyway, FF3 and FF6 are the same game |

they are doing that, FF7 was the most popular thats why, thats also the reason for the FF7 movie (I forget what its called now, something Child  ) awwwww I still get a tear when I watch the Aeris and Sephy sword scene (dont wanna spoil of any who haven't seen) she was my fav |

Even though I picked FF7 as my fave, I still like the Final Fanstasies on SNES, those are like the first games I ever played. _________________ "My heart burns for you like fire"

My ultimate favorite and will always be Final Fantasy 8. I agree with baby-bunny too. It did have the best card game. |

My favorites are as follows, not necessarily in order of preference:
Final Fantasy / FF1 -- Nothing says old-school like the game that started it all. The revamped version (i.e., Final Fantasy Origins) is surprisingly fun, too.
Final Fantasy 6 (FF3 SNES) -- Great story and characters. I cried when Celes tried commiting suicide, and when Locke admitted he couldn't save Rachel... and I'm a guy who doesn't do that often.
Final Fantasy 7 -- The line in my Sig about "The Fantasy" was inspired by this. Back when FF7 was still new I played a demo of PC FF7. Unfortunately three was something majorly wrong with my graphics card, and all the nicely prerendered backgrounds were 100% scrambled. At that point I realized that FF7's backgrounds were not as 3D as the hype promised them to be. Never played anything else of FF7 until 2003 when sis picked it up. It has a number of entertaining moments, the first FF to have real mini-games (I especially loved the snowboarding game), and I like Red.
Final Fantasy 9 - Sometimes I like this even better than FF7, other times not. Filled to the brim with references to the older Final Fantasy games, great music second only to FF6, and the story is fun and accessible. The loading times for combat were a little long though. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

I voted for FFX, because it was the first one that I actually seriously played and finished... and I LOVE the graphics soo much, and I have a serious attatchment to the characters... so that is why I play FFX-2, even though it does have some really cheesy parts to it, and a couple other things... I can't just leave it alone, I have to know what happens!! If there's an ending to a story, I need to know, even if it isn't the greatest... I have problems watching only half a TV show, because I can't stand not knowing how something ends... so yeah... anyway... BORSCHT!!! sorry |

I voted for 6 (3) It was one of the first RPG's I ever played, and it has that nostalgia value. |
