Okay, so I'm sitting here eating some New England Clam Chowder.
........I used to despise the stuff. I had some at the restaurant I work at...not knowing it was chowder...and thought it to be delicious.
The same thing happened with mashed potatoes. I tried them when I was little and wanted to throw up. One thanksgiving I decided, what the hell, I'll eat some. Now it's probably my favorite thing to eat.
So, point of the topic is....
What food(s) have you DESPISED and one day started to love? What made you try it again? Is it now your favorite food?

You're missing the point of the topic, spamalicious Gray.
When was the first time you had prawns, Gray? What was that whole experience? When did you decide to try them again?
Just because you and Kate don't like me doesnt mean you can spam up my thread.
(This is mostly to the non-sentence writing twat, Brian)
I also used to hate any vegetable that was near me. I'll eat peas now. Ironically peas with some good ol mashed taters. |

It wasn't spam
Anyway.. more info, eh.. okay.
I tried them ages ago when I was about 10, I think at a party and then at a chinese resteraunt.. Ew I hated them.. the gritty innards and the slimy membrane.. But I tried them again about a year ago at another chinese resteraunt and I could have had about 20 prawn cocktails.. Seriously they're so good. I only ever really made my own a few times 'cause my mum would buy only salad cream as opposed to seafood sauce. The essential prawn maker sauce  |

Hmm...
I would probably have to say Orange Chicken.
I tried it when I was about 11 and I hated it. Then my step-dad Primo made it and I loved it. Then we ordered chinese and I loved it then as well. I always ask for orange chicken now. Hehe
Edit: Tried it when I was 11, not 10 |

I used to hate sour dough bread. Now I really like it. I guess it's what you could call an aquired taste. *shrug* _________________ |

For years I used to hate most pickels the only ones I could some what take were the sweet ones. Then years later for some odd reason that I can't remember now I
tried one of the sour ones and I loved it,and for oddly enough I then hated the sweet ones.It is so weird how our tastes change!
