My sketches are never planned. In fact, I don't do sketches very often; I just go straight to the paper with a pen/marker/fineliner most of the time. o_o;
Those drawings, depending on what they are, can take anywhere from 30mins to 5h+ to complete. _________________

I spend about 15 minutes at the most on rough sketches. But for "high quality" stuff, it takes at least 30 minutes or more, depending on whether I wanna put color or shading in, how big it is, and how detailed it is. _________________ <MARQUEE>

Usually i dont draw a whole drawing in one sit.
It takes me about an hour just to think what im doing and then when i have the idea it takes another hour to get a good angle or something, about 30-40+ minutes sketching if I need to erase then its like 1 hour, and then about an hour shading.
But if I sit down and make a drawing without getting distracted it gets a lot better and faster... but usually it takes me about.... 1 month to finish the drawing cuz i start it and never finish it... _________________

2-3 hours. Period. _________________ --Small minds talk about people, average minds talk about events, great minds talk about ideas. But of a humble heart, the Lord wil not scorn, and from its abundance the mouth speaks.

Ah, I love painting. I usually don't have the proper material to use as a canvas, so I don't do it very often. The last time I painted, it was on my school wall. _________________

Hmm... like I said earlier, I generally put 4-5 hours of work into ecah of my drawings. However, if you measure time as when I completed it vs. when I started it, I "spend" about a week on any given drawing.... _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

i can draw jak and daxter in like 1 to 5 minutes easy with out reference
inuyasha takes a little longer cuz i didnt get mich practise with him yet...
pokemon come easy 1 to 5 minutes
and my dragons dont take very long either... maybe 10 minutes... if i add all of the funky details it takes longer and that goes for all my pics...
link is easy 1 to 5 minutes...
oni link takes5 to 10 minutes to get his armor rite and put in all the little designs.
my pics where i draw a whole room or backround take longe cuz i have to draw everything... maybe 30 min? around there... kilala is easy 1 to 5 min.
and everything else is around 1 to5 min

hmm I don't normally measure the time spent on drawings, but I have a pretty good idea =/
for a regular sketch, I can spend about an hour on it before it is completed and there are no distractions: Starry Blanket
a full colored pencil peice usually takes me about a week, on and off, so that probably measures out to 10 hours: Restful Evening
A digital art peice takes me forever (it seems) to complete. My longest was about 20+ hours: Spirit's Path |

My still life paintings usualy take me a 'bout 3 sessions, which is about 6 hours total. Sometimes a bit more, sometimes less.
I try to do my sketches in less than 10 minutes, but it depends on what I'm drawing. There are many variables, like if I'm sketching from life or imgination, what I'm drawing, and if it's a person, the pose is a major factor.
For finished drawings, I'm not real sure. I usualy wind up in my own little world, so I loose track of time. If I had to guess, anywhere from 6-20 hours, minumum. |

Hm, that depends on alot of things. How much of a perfectionist you are, how good you are at drawing/coloring with a mouse, how thorough your knowledge of the program is, and how much experience you have with the program. Anyways, I usually spend around half an hour (initial sketch) and another ten minutes adding little details and darkening the lines and shading. |

I can sympathise with that. I stopped drawing on the computer for about a year because my new laptop came with a touchpad and I couldn't do anything with it. Now that I have a tablet, things are all good once more. Still, takes me a heck of a lot longer to draw something with the tablet than to draw something on paper. |

I spend around 5-10 minutes trying to perfect a drawing (and that's not with photoshop or anything since I don't have it). The longest I have spent on a good drawing (including coloring/shading) was probably 2-3 hours. _________________ It took me about ten minutes to defeat Giga Bowser, Ganondorf, and Mewtwo from Super Smash Brothers Melee using Peach.
How long did it take my brother to defeat those characters using Yoshi? Two minutes.
I like to obsess over stuff. Here are all the things I'm obsessing over:
Song: Seize the Day by Default
Anime: D.Gray Man
Anime character(s): Kanda
Video Game: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Video Game character: Wolf O-Donnell from Star Fox Assault
OC: Ray Eclrida, copyright of me (duh!)
