If you like the lyrics in my sig, you can try listening to Killswitch Engage, even though I wouldnt call them "calming" at all. A Perfect Circle calms me down.

Hmm... I usually listen to music that fits my mood at the moment... if I'm angry, I'll listen to something loud.... hmmm.... if I'm just content or happy or whatever, these are some songs that are relaxing, or I can just listen to and get lost in....

Crash Into Me - Dave Matthews Band
When The World Ends - Dave Matthews Band
Angel Without Wings - Vertical Horizon
Someday - Nickelback
Sunday Bloody Sunday - U2
Pardon Me (acoustic) - Incubus
Round Here - Counting Crows
Deora Ar Mo Chroi - Enya
My Immortal - Evanescence
Simple and Clean - Utada Hikaru
My Number - Tegan and Sara
December - Collective Soul
Moonlight Sonata 1st Movement - Beethoven

Also, the themes from the movie Requiem for a Dream and video game Final Fantasy X-2.... goodness, I could listen to them over and over again... the theme from Requiem is soo haunting... I just close my eyes and almost forget where I am... hmmm... classical and some country songs are calming... I know I have more... but I can't think at the moment... hmm... I'm not in a calming mood right now....

Uhhhh............I hope I'm not to late, but the bands that calm me down:
Audioslave, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus, Dave Matthews, some Linkin Park(the ones with little or no vocals), and Nickleback(only "Someday", though)
Heh.....[QUOTE] I never lost control. You're face to face with the man who sold the world. -Kurt Cobain(as told by Bob Dylan, I believe)

Green Day - Time of your Life

it makes me think of all the old times with friends, good and bad, and it's a real calming state to sit there and think about that.

I remember driving out to Watchung Reservation at 2 in the morning, and there are NO lights out there at all, pitch black, there are bears in there to. Sat in one of the dirt parking spaces, windows down, put the seat back and played this for a few minutes of peace and to think on some things.

Oh, and the Red Hot Chili Pepper's The Zephyr Song is kind of calming, along with P.O.D.s Sleeping Awake from The Matrix Reloaded.......
