Anyone here ever try the only sport I'm good at?
Yeah, Skateboarding.
Have you just tried it once or are you really into it?
Longboard or shortboard? Who's your favorite pro?

After watching Viva La Bam and such. I wanted a skateboard really badly and wanted to learn to skate really well.
I just started not too long ago. My friends parents got me an Element Deck.
But I couldn't skate without trucks and wheels could I?
So I went to a local hobbyu shop and ordered the parts.
I got Ruckus trucks, Spitfire wheels, flip Bearings, Independent riser pads, and Shorty's hardware.
Now I'm happy! But now I have yet another dilemma, I have pretty much nowhere to skate. Only my grandma's basement and a bike trail. The nearest skatepark is 2 hours away.
Ah well.

Bam is my god, I've watched viva la bam long enough for me wanted to skate to the extrem, but that wasn't the reason why I wanted to skate, well sorta, I just wanna get somewhere, I have an interest for skateboarding and I will go on trying to master it, cause I just suck right now.
Also the skateboarding world rwaks, so that's my favorite spaort, had a cool story on how it all began A.K.A- Lords of Dogtown. My father says that skateboarding in the furure will be another olympic sport, that would be awsome. I look forward to being a great skater, and when my neighbords move out, I'll destroy that smelly house and all the dead trees in the back and front and turning it into a mini skate park, well cause the whole space is big enough for one.

Yeah, I've gotten all of my friends into it as well.

Even my mom!
she thinks it's pretty cool and stuff.

I suck as well and don't know anything. But I once read that you can't speed up your training. And you can't have someone teach you through it. You've got to learn how yourself and develop your own techniques.

I truly agree and someday dream of being a pro or at least the best in this skater-infested town.

It sucks and I don't have friends that skateboard.. I think I could be good but I can't get the practise.

i love skateboarding...and bam is a total arse head...me and my friend met him before. he turned out to be a total jerk,now if it was rodney mullen ^_^ he inveted the kickflip,heelflip,and all that good stuff. ANYWAYS. i usually hang out at P.I.S a.k.a. pompano indoor skatepark. and had a bob burnquist board.....it broke in half when i was trying to do a flip..but anyways. i am now currently saving up to get a deck,wheels,and bearings. i already have bam signature trucks. and my birth day is coming up...getting that money. and if you can't already tell. i am a shortboarder... I kindof suck since i just started like 5 months ago...but those 3 months was with my messed up board. and my favorite skater is rodney mullen ^_^.

i started skating last year, and i am still trying to do ollies, but the stupid board is a $20 one that came totally blank, and i painted it myself, but it started to chip so i just recently repainted it and i got new trucks, wheels, and bearings to match...its a pretty awesome sport, altho i also dance, and i like that a lot better. for my next bday im trying to get an element deck tho

i want to get the pink element deck, it looks awesome, but right now im happy for what i got, even though i havent gotton the trucks and wheels on, or put the bearings in the wheels. <_<

I tried skateboarding not too long ago. But I have the same problem as Talin. I have no where to skate. Sad

All I have is my basement and my driveway. It's on a slant, so I go down and into the street all the time. It's fun. I think I ollied, once, when I was standing still.

its hard to find a place to skate around here, but the street we're on is a dead end, so nobody even goes on it, so its pretty good to skate on, but there's huge hills everywhere on it, and once i just lost control of my board and landed up in a neighbors bush.

If there is a College (sp?) town anywhere near you, They are usualy great places for skateboarding.

oh, yeah, believe me, they wouldnt allow skateboarding at the University of South Carolina! I take ballet there, and yep, good rails, alotta ledges, alot of hills (typical SC) but the place is swarming with professors and students...anytime of the day, any day of the year. <_< <_< <_<
