Evangelion+cartoon Network

-sarcastic- Just dandy... I really don't need more cruddy dubbed anime on CartoonNetwork, Yugioh and Pokemon were enough. Sad

Not to mention One Piece.

Except Evangelion was licensed a long time ago by ADV.

ADV is one of the "better" licensing companies... they're actually pretty sh*tty, but they look like sparkling happiness when compaired to other companies. I honestly didn't think the voices really suited the characters that well, for the most part. :/

I've already seen it all dubbed. They keep everything, for the most part, except for a bunch of mistranslations here and there.

Since it's going to be on air, though, it's probably going to be showing really late at night. Just because of all the symbolism and whatnot, although I thought that the symbolism and references to Christian mythos were done fairly well. :/

I think I've seen a preview. I don't think all the voices fit, but I've never been one to complain about american dubbing. I just watch the japanese version instead. They usually seem much better. Maybe Japanese people are better voice actors...?

Nah, they just seem to work harder, for the most part. And since they came first, I suppose they know what the characters are like a little better than their American counterparts. there [i]are[/i] some anime where I thought the dub voices were better, but I can't think of any at the moment. ^^; But definitely not for Evangelion. Evangelion has been on the anime network for ages, yet I havn't seen any of you b*tching about that.

Worse comes to worse they cut out a few scenes.
If you don't like it, download the sub or buy the DVDs Grr!

Evangelion isn't coming to Cartoon Network, it's going to be on a new line-up on Adult Swim. And it just-so-happens that Adult Swim licensed themselves as it's own network. So it may be the channel, but not the network or anything...it's not comin' to CN.
