With fame comes money. With money comes drugs. With drugs comes sleazy chicks and parties. With sleazy chicks and parties comes some kind of uneccesary drama. With some kind of uneccesary drama comes a new album inspired by said drama. With a new album inspired by said drama comes more fame. And so on and so forth. This is the cycle that almost all rock bands follow through and most barely make it out in one piece.

Who do you think deserves the title "Baddest of the Bad?" You decide. And please make sure to give detailed reasons for your choice.

Thats a hard one, too many bands did that. I was watching a bio on Guns N' Roses and they where pretty bad. Slash(or was it their bassist?) accually died and was revived.(You know what I mean?).

If you read Motley Crue's, [i]The Dirt[/i], it'll give you more than enough proof that they were the baddest and wildest rock group of all time. You name it, they've done it. Drug overdoses, police coming to arrest them, car crashes, chicks with panties at their ankles as far as the eye could see, etc. They have seen it all and somehow have come back stronger and wiser. Guns N' Roses has nothing on them.

Nikki Sixx, the bassist of the Crue, died from an overdose of heorin. He was revived a few minutes later but for awhile, the band was already canceling the European leg of the Girls tour and media sources everywhere were asking for information on Nikki's obituary. He ended up breaking out of the hospital when he woke up and went back home to his apartment just to inject some more heorin into his f*cked up body.

Tommy has banged more chicks and has possibly had at least one case of every type of STD known to medial science. Him and Nikki would swap chicks or tell girls that Nikki would do them but Tommy would do them while Nikki just stood there while the girls grabbed his hair and screamed his name. And him and Vince would stick phones up girls' crotches just to see if they could. He also went to jail for beating Pamela Anderson but that seems to have been blown out of proportion. He's done worse in his life.

Mick just drank till he almost died. That and he got himself into a bunch of bad relationships where he was abused and he tried to commit suicide because of it. Ironically, it was the same night that Vince got into a car crash and killed a member of Haoni Rocks so when he saw everyone upset and stunned, he thought that they found his body and that he was a ghost.

Vince did a lot of crap. Drugs, women, fights, he did it all. His downfall was most likely alcohal because even when he was prohibited by everyone (including fellow band members) from drinking, he would drink anyway. But the piss tests caught him everytime. In all fairness though, he was driven to drinking a lot after losing his four year old daughter to stomach cancer and noone from the band supported him (even though Vince wasn't in the band at the time but it still pissed him off.) Vince struggled through life and fought tooth and nail for what he has. I'm very glad that he's doing better now because he does deserve to have a peaceful life now. All of them do. :)


So yeah, thats just like only a half assed reasoning of why they are the most reckless band to ever exist. If you want like more information or need more convincing, just go buy [i]The Dirt[/i]. Trust me, all the proof is there.

This is like an impossible poll. Even with The Dirt, that barely scratches the surface of the insane lives all the people up there had. It's like trying to compare which is worse, snorting a line of ants or keeping a harem of topless girls under the stage for tittie breaks during the show.

[b]Guns N' Roses[/b] - Pretty bad, lots of booze and drugs and women. They all had substance problems, Axl is insane, they trashed places and started fights. But they were just more publicized than some others, nothing they did was [i]that[/i] bad in the wreckless category. Sure, Axl started some riots by not showing up or throwing a tantrum, but they could have been worse. They just got the press and reputation.
[b]Black Sabbath[/b] - Also way up there, what with the drugs, but not nearly as bad as some others.
[b]Motley Crue[/b] - Sixx covered it.
[b]Van Halen[/b] - This was one of my top five. At their biggest, they were crazy. Girls and orgies everywhere, more booze than anyone could ever drink, and Dave has probably done just about every sexual act under the sun. Egos and tempers and alcohol = good fun.
[b]Led Zeppelin[/b] - Also in the top five. They're legends and one of the original creators of heavy metal. Everyone should know the mud shark legend. Whether it's true or not, they did some crazy shit and did it bigger and better than everyone else.
[b]Judas Priest[/b] - Not that bad.
[b]Faster Pussycat[/b] - Pardon the near pun, but they're pussycats compared to the rest. The most "dangerous" thing I can think of is Mark having heroin mailed to him and being caught.
[b]Cinderella[/b] - More pussies. Certainly not clean cut boys, but far better behaved than Motley and Gn'R.
[b]Bon Jovi[/b] - Eh. They're too clean for my taste. They had the women and everything, but they've got nothin' on the others.
[b]White Lion [/b] - Pretty boys.
[b]Whitesnake [/b] - Tawny Kitaen.
[b]Def Leppard[/b] - Girls under the stage. Although Rick playing with one arm is pretty badass too, they weren't particularly dangerous.
[b]Velvet Revolver[/b] Gn'R+STP+maturity = tame. Ain't nothin' like they used to be. Which is a good thing, but puffy alcoholic moody duff is nowhere near toned focused and all grown up duff.
[b]AC/DC[/b] - I'm sure they did it, but not as publicized. They're more in the Aerosmith category, where all the insanity is glamorized to "sex, drugs, and rock n' roll" vs. the explicit details and digusting behavior of the 80s.
[b]Ozzy Osbourne[/b] - Top five again. Snorting ants, killing cats/various other animals, pissing on things, getting in fights, drugs, booze, you name it.

So the top five comes down to:

3. Motley

1. Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin took the number one spot for me. Motley may be pretty outrageous, but so many of their stories have been told and published and expanded upon that there's way more known about them than most others. It's hard to say they're worse than anyone else when the others don't share (or don't remember ) their own history. However, Led Zeppelin were legends in more ways than one. The mud shark myth may not be true (and for those that aren't familiar with it, it's a story that some members of the band fucked a groupie with a mud shark they caught out the window of a hotel), but things just as bad were going on.

They participated in the extreme levels of drugs and women before it was common practice for everyone and their grandmother to be doing lines of blow off the dinner table. So yeah, Led Zeppelin for me.

Poison were by far worse than Cinder or Faster Pussycat. But they were still puppy dogs in comparison.

Led Zeppelin is wild and reckless, no doubt about that. And I give them major props for being the first to do what no band has done before and therefore make rock what it is today. But I still stand by my decsion of Motley Crue. They may have not been the first to do blow off resturant tables or f**k groupies in new and obscene ways but they did do all of that right and in extreme levels that nearly killed them all. And yeah, the Crue is more publisized that Zeppelin but maybe thats because the Crue did all of what Zeppelin did only like more extreme.

Jimmy Page practiced Satanism. Nikki Sixx practiced it with Lita Ford for awhile and even like saw some really freaky crap.

Zeppelin fucked a groupie with a mud shark? Crue stuck phones up groupies' vaginas and had them give blow jobs to everyone in the hot tubs.

Point is, I think first doesn't necessarily mean that they are the best. But do I think that maybe Ozzy beats Motley in this? Yeah, after like thinking into it, Ozzy is a wild old f**k who spread trouble and debauchery wherever he went. I mean, the guy pissed on the Alamo in a dress. Thats pretty fucked up. Even more so than a vagina phone or a heroin overdose.

So now I'm like regretting my vote. Damn, Ozzy totally pwns the Crue in decadence and recklessness.

Isn't Ozzy still doing tours and rocking the s**t out of his fans? See thats like hardcore right there. When you can be an old fart and still rock out loud.

It's actually not about being first, it's the time period issue. While Motley was around, there was television specials, tons of music gossip mags, good personal video cameras later on, and finally the internet. Zeppelin didn't have nearly as much of that, so it was all kinda swept under the rug. While Motley was around, all their antics were well documented and shared. A lot of the people involved with Zeppelin don't even remember. But from what [i]is[/i] remembered, they were right up there.

But like I said, it's impossible to really determine who wins because it's just comparing apples to oranges in behavior. The most girls or the most drugs or the most destruction, and none of them are overly worse than the other. If you want to REALLY get into the most wild and dangerous, those European death metal bands win hands down. One of them had members that killed and ate each other.

Yeah, but they were around for too short a length of time to really compare, I think. And they were mostly more self-destructive than anything, or a major annoyance to people. Unless you count the various fights, Sid throwing the glass that supposedly shattered into some girl's eye, stuff like that. Their shitty apartment. But Johnny's book is surprisingly tame in comparison to some others. It was more an attitude of "fuck you all" than too much excess, although they did steal all their equipment from other bands. And all the heroin and Nancy and all that.
