I was looking through some of my old posts, and found something I started that never quite got kicked off of the ground. So, I'm starting it up again. Last time I tried letting people choose the authors/books via polls, but I think that's what killed it in the beginning. Instead, I'm just going to pick a book from my shelf at random for now. Once this thing kicks off feel free to private message(through the forums, please) or e-mail me with book suggestions.
The goal of this is to get everyone reading the same book at the same time--kind of like a book club. We discuss the book as we're reading it (I'm thinking chapters at a time so no one spoils anything.) and then everyone finishes and a new book is chosen. I chose the title bi-monthly because it fit well, but if people need more than two months to finish a book, that's fine. :)
The book to start this Bi-Monthly Book Brigade is Going Postal by Terry Pratchett. No need to buy, I'm sure you can find it in your local libraries.
If you're interested, great. If not, fine. But do reply to say whether or not you're into it and don't stop checking back if the current book doesn't suit your fancy: there will be others. _________________ "I've got a sticky Darodo!"

I'm interested. I was just gone when you posted this. If I can find it at the library or if I can find time, I'll gladly read it Maybe we can bet more people involved in this if we have Denis post a message on the FAC main page. |

I'll try to find it. I'm stuck to my summer reading book Great Expectations for now, though. (I need to finish the project pronto!) |
