I was hoping it wasn't that bad.

And I don't speak Japanese. And I thought this was the right section to post this. No where else to post it.

Anyways, someone answer this kid's question already. Raymei? Chesh? Carter? Anyone?

lmao. Bad quality? Only if you can't read kanji. (If you want bad quality, you should check out the "Can't Someone Translate This For Me?" topic back in anime/manga.) Razz At any rate, that's one of the two different kanji used to write "usagi" - rabbit.

I needed it because I got it at whitewater bay, and it said nothing, it was the only Kanji, so I just grabbed it and paid for it. ^-^

Im not too fluent in Japanese, but yes, as far as I know, it is the second of two ways to spell unagi- which does mean rabbit. There you go. two people say the same thing, so you can probably count on it being the right word ^_^

I watch that show, too (mind you that ep is from Season 6, i gots the DVD) and it is correct. But, in the Japanese language, one character could mean many things, that have nothing to do with eachother. So, both 'rabbit' and salmon skin roll' are both technically right. ^_^

... You make me cry. :(

usagi [うさぎ=兔/兎] - rabbit
unagi [うなぎ=鰻] - eel

Note the difference in both kanji and spelling. They're not the same thing.

That's wrong, you know. Each kanji represents a different meaning. So while two words may sound the same, the kanji, or the character for it, represents entirely different things.

Take, for example, "kami".

kami [髪] - hair
kami [紙] - paper
kami [神] - spirit ("God" if used with the honorific "sama")

All pronounced the same, but the kanji clearly shows they're different things. There's also more readings for "kami", but I don't feel like doing all of them.

hey Fayore, how many harmonyms are associated with "Hong" (Korean pronunciation)?

I can't type Chinese here, but I know it can mean "red" or "big"...
