Hey people! Are you guys as PISSED as i was because of JPG's UGLY look?

Well, i have a simple way to make it look nice, with still being able to submit it!

(I made this because a lot of people around this site think their stuck using JPG. I just want to help them ^_^ )

Well, Its VERY simple. Whatever program you use to draw, instead of saving it as a .JPG or .JPEG, just save it as a .PNG! It'll look MUCH clearer, and less chunky!

Hope this helps some people with the 'JPG itch'!! ^_^

Huh? Jpeg had problems? I've never noticed one...

PNG is too large for me. . . . .

PNG files take more bandwidth.

you are better off using gif (if its few colors) or a jpeg with low compression > 80%

JPEG format was designed with photographs in mind, thus it works best for scanned / fully shaded artwork with continuously varying color tones.

GIF format works a lot better than JPG for pixel and line art, stuff with limited color palettes and solid shades.

Thanks for the info guys, ill keep it in mind, though i'll probably stick to PNG. I just like it more, since I use Paint (default format BMP, you dont accept that, and you cant 'compress' the size of JPG's on Paint) ^_^ I think.
