We all use it, right? I use it for mainly inspiration rather than poses though. and it helps alot. Strolling around someone's gallery usually helps alleviate my artist's block. take a look at this picture here, it made me want to do a picture in smililar style... so, Do you artists have pictures that you used for reference? if then, post them here! Very Happy

I use so many pictures as references, it's rediculous. I use a lot of anime style and realism, too. It all depends. Normally, I pull them off of Google or Altavista. Sometimes from a magazine.

i usually use reference pictures for hand, leg, and foot positions, because those are my weakest points when it comes to drawing . sometimes i use references for costumes, but not often .

I know I've said this before, and it might be getting a little old, but no one seems to catch onto it. I use comic books, and Wizard Posters 2000-2005 for inspiration. Lots of action poses, still poses and different artists help a lot. And they're cheap.

I find it much easier when my reference pictures are drawn pictures rather than photographs. It's so much easier when someone has gone ahead and simplified something to a drawable state, rather than trying to do that simplification myself from a photo.

I get my action poses from shounen manga. ^_^
