I wouldn't want Marty to win, but I wouldn't mind watching him perform some more. Unlike Jessica and the like.
All I saw of MiG was his performance. No comments or anything. But that should be the last of the ones I miss. I'm moving in roughly two weeks and may miss another, though. Since it's not a cable channel, I'll try not to. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I saw Rock Star: Inxs for the first time last night. I can't really remember the names of any of the people except for Ty. That guy had a mohawk that just can't be forgotten. He doesn't do much for me. Singing seems okay but his timing was like off on the song he sang last night.
There was this one guy, I forgot his name, but he sang With Arms Wide Open and it was amazing. He blew away any other version of that song. I wouldn't mind if he won.
I don't really like any of the girls on this. They're good performers but none of them really have like a voice that complements with the band's playing. Except for one girl, she has dreadlocks (I think her name's Jordon but I'm not sure) and she sang The Man Who Sold the World. It was one of the best versions of that song I've heard in a long time. She's definetly got the prettiest voice out of all of them. I just wish I could've seen her perform a more fast-paced song to see if her performing skills are as good as her singing. If a chick had to win this, I would hope she would win.
But I'm really rooting for whoever sang that Creed song. God, he like blew me away with that song. Such a great voice. _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |

The Creed song would be Marty. I'm liking him more and more, even though I'm not sure I'd want him to win. His performance showed a new softer side to his voice that could work with INXS, though.
Jordis is the only girl I like, she's the one that sang Bowie. And after that horrid version of Suffragette City, thank god MiG and Jordis redeemed Queen and Bowie. If you want to see Jordis perform other songs, you can watch her past ones at http://www.msn.rockstar.com Good stuff.
MiG is the one who sang We Will Rock You, and I liked it. Go MiG.
Other than those three, I just don't care for any of them. They're either boring or can't sing (or in a couple cases, both). I'm glad Tara was finally kicked out. It's about time. I can tolerate watching Ty and Brandon some more, but I never want to see Tara perform again.
Jessica next, dammit. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

YAY! Tara got kicked off. Jessica better be next.
I guess I still dont like Marty. There's just something about his voice that I don't like.
And yes thank god Jordis and MiG redeemed Queen and Bowie. I really like Jordis now. She did really well on that song. And MiG did well too but I'm pretty sure he sang it so many times now. And also when he did we are the champions, he kicked JD's ass big time. .... Speaking of JD I loved how INXS kinda made fun of JD during MiG's and Deanna's performance.
All in all I'm still hopin MiG wins it. And also hopin that Jessica gets kicked off next week, even tho I would be more than glad to see JD go, but he keeps it so interesting.

For me, it's Marty's performance I'm still undecided about. I can deal with Axl's crab walk and Scott's gay prancing, but Marty's spastic conductor thing is just weird and kinda uncomfortable to watch. I like his voice well enough, not necessarily on INXS songs, but I'd have to hear him sing one.
I want JD to stick around a little bit longer just to see what else he'll get himself into. We Are The Champions can't be the only song he can't sing... _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Ok. Well I'm glad I have VH1 because now they moved the reality part to VH1. And now it's on Sundays. Just thought I'd let you know if you didnt yet. |

MiG, don't apologize to JD, he's dirty and deserves to be talked about.
JD is quickly becoming my comic relief, though. "I'm gonna kill 'em with kindness" 'Cause, ya know, saying they don't love INXS is so kind...
If they have one more Nirvana song as an option, I may have to kill someone. Every damn week. Enough already. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Yeah what the hell was up with that. What were you thinking MiG!!!! MiG didn't seem to care when he mocked JD before. But then again I think they were all a little drunk. Especially the whole human being thingy JD did.
Anyways Jessica didn't get kicked off dammit. Why cant she just go! I would've rather had her go than Brandon. This is poo. |

I think she may be next, though, unless someone else completely blows it. Brandon messed up worse than she did, but the band members don't seem particularly interested in her anymore. And rightfully so. :)
The fact JD was in the bottom five makes me giddy. Ego blows are so lovely.
As are drunken ramblings, and at least MiG was making peace (sorta) and being civil. Not nearly as entertaining, though. I'll be driving to LA this Tuesday, hopefully I'll be in a hotel in time to watch. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

YAY!!!! Jessica got kicked off. *does happy dance* and MiG got the encore too. What a great day... Now who to be next to get kicked off... I guess I dont really care anymore now. I've learned to tolerate everyone now.
Anyways I guess most of the performances were pretty good, and Marty did an ok job on hit me baby one more time. Which why the hell would they even consider having someone sing that song. I don't understand. Actually I do because of the note he got but still I think it is torture... Honestly for Jordis getting one of the highest votes, I didn't think she did all that great but hey thats just me... and JD sucked at his song big time....
The reality show was pretty funny I thought. Ty's group's song was not all to great even tho they thought it was. and Jd was an idiot. Ya don't always get your way JD. Live with it.
well since I can't think right now and I'm on limited time, this is all I have to say for now... |

I only got to see the review of the reality show, I was driving while it was on. But it looked pretty funny.
MiG's encore made me happy. I thought Jordis's version of Knockin' On Heaven's Door was pretty good, considering it's a song that's already been covered way too many times and never covered very well. She changed it enough to not be a rip off of someone else's version and was still tolerable to listen to (unlike Ty's song this week, which I hated).
Thank god Jessica is gone. Unless someone screws up, I think it'll be Deanna next. Then just a matter of who does better each time, 'cause I think it's a pretty level playing field after that. Hopefully JD will keep sucking. I like seeing him look all pissy when someone else is doing really well.
And on a complete sidenote, MiG has the best energy out of all of them. When all the others are performing, he's always the most...extroverted instead of others who just sit there and watch. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I've only seen one episode, and I don't know any of the competitors' names, but I like the blonde guy; his solo acoustic guitar thing was great. Don't like any of the chicks. Maybe it's just a personal thing I have against female vocalists, I dunno. Definitely better than American Idol, at any rate. _________________ "I've got a sticky Darodo!"

Marty. I can't stand The Killers and almost had to stab myself in the face, but then again, I find a lot of the songs cheesy and/or sappy. His playing and performance was decent enough, though, song aside. That was the week MiG did All Right Now... He's the Australian.
I'm gonna be sad if MiG doesn't win. Despite how horrible these kinds of shows are, they got a decent frontman in him, and if they take one of the others instead... new INXS will suck all the more.
You saw Jordis's worst performance, though (the girl who sang Layla). Her others have all been better. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

My parents watch the show. On rare occasions I watch it. Saw Mig's encore, and I just simply adored him. I hope he wins. I love his voice (not just his singing voice). _________________ It took me about ten minutes to defeat Giga Bowser, Ganondorf, and Mewtwo from Super Smash Brothers Melee using Peach.

If MiG doesn't win, there is nothing good in this world. But after randomly browsing the MSN site, he apparently has hundreds of adoring little fangirls (what a surprise) that will vote for him constantly, so I'd say he's at least in the final 2 or 3.
But he needs to win. 'Cause he can sing and isn't a fuckhead. If he won, I might actually go see INXS without Michael. But then again, there'd be those hundreds of 13-year-old fangirls with their crappy signs about loving him. Screw that. Reality tv blows.
However, I am now living relatively close to where they do those shows... Pity I can't go. Ah well. I liked MiG's original song. Way better than Deanna's. Speaking of which, we should celebrate her finally being kicked off. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I will be really upset if MiG doesn't win. I was thinkin of seeing INXS too depending on how good their new album will be and if MiG won of course.
But then again, there'd be those hundreds of 13-year-old fangirls with their crappy signs about loving him. Screw that.
But that's my fav part. They're so vulnerable and most of them are stupid enough to be on the floor. Pushing them so they fall is always fun too. hehehe... Yeah I was forced to go to a Good Charlotte concert because my friend just couldn't go by herself. That was the worst 3 hours of my life. But I had my fun shovin everyone. Most of them ended up in the way back too. When will they ever learn and my friend still owes me big time.
Anyways.. so why can't you go to the shows?
I liked MiG's song too. It's very catchy. I had it stuck in my head all week.
Deanna's gone!!!! Yes!!!!! *does happy dance* But almost everyone was crying this time. It made me laugh. Now I think Suzie should go just because I can't stand her and maybe she would have an emotional break down.
But don't you think that Jordis should've been in the bottom 3. I didn't think she would stay out of it. But then again people vote for their favs and not by the performances. I think Suzie got all the pity votes too since she was the only one not in the bottom 3 at some time.
And is it just me or is JD all over Suzie???
and this is just something I found:
Random's asked by the audience [to Suzie, JD, Jordis & MiG]:
- Who's the jokester?
All pointed to JD
- What's the one memory you'll remember from this experience?
Jordis: singing with Camp Freddy (Dave's band) at the House of Blues on her birthday
MiG: his wife's surprise visit last week
Suzie: can't remember off hand
JD: Said he hadn't been on stage in 2 years prior to the show and that he has a bad case of stage fright. So he will cherish the stage/studio in which they perform, the audience and just being able to be on stage.
- Funniest moment? (or was it most frightening moment - couldn't hear the question)
Suzie: One day MiG was sleeping with the sheet just covering "that area" (as she said). She & the girls wanted to know if he was naked under the blankets or not. She decided to try to uncover the "mystery" so she snuck up and started to lift the sheet. Just as she started to lift it, MiG caught her.
She ended it with - yes, he was naked.
MiG: One day (night?) he was walking down one of the corridors in the house and it was very dark. He found a lighter to help guide the way. JD came up beside him and put his arm around MiG's shoulders. Once they got to a lit area, he saw that JD was completely naked. MiG ended the story by standing up and play-screaming, waving his hands in the air like he was horrified.
Suzie: Having JD's ass in her face. They both laughed and didn't elaborate.
- How do they prepare to sing for the bottom 3?
JD & MiG both answered that there are 20 "top" INXS songs that they practice for a day each week.
- What was the worst job you've had?
JD: Power washer at nice hotel chain - midnight to 8a shift. He saw mice and other nasty stuff.
Jordis: She painted houses (as recent as last summer)...hanging over the sides of railings, climbing tall ladders.
MiG: Making baby carts and selling them at [insert name of store he mentioned].
Suzie: Telegram singer. |

I can't go to the performance shows 'cause they're too far away for me to go by bus. With classes starting, I don't have time to spend an hour+ both ways to get to and from Hollywood. Which kills me, since tickets are free and it's really really close (just takes a long time by bus).
Alas, oh well. I think I'd almost rather watch it on tv anyway where the view is better, and if I want to see MiG, I'll get tickets when he wins ( ).
It's so funny because granted the percentage of people in bands who sleep with anything that shows interest is very high, at least as far as the show's gone MiG has focused a lot on his wife. But on the MSN site and all over his blog, there's these little girls proclaiming their love for him. Amuses me so greatly...

Well well well...Marty has won me over a little more now that he screams less. Still not a huge fan of his gay conductor, but Scott Weiland and Axl have stupid stage moves too. Then again, maybe it's just my weakness for heroin chic blondes. :(
I wish people would stop drooling all over Suzie's shoes. If there's one thing Marty's good for, it's being more liked than Suzie. Neither of her songs were even rock songs! That piece of crap she wrote was some sappy pop ballad. Granted so was MiG's, but at least he proved he could do rock just as well. Suzie hasn't done that. Her voice is very pop, even when she's singing something heavier.
It disappoints me, though, that there was a piece of an interview floating around where one of the band members in the beginning said he hoped a woman would win so she wouldn't be compared to Michael. Man or woman they're gonna be compared to Michael, might as well get the best performer.
MiG's still the best. Jordis and JD can go, as can Suzie (although she won't). MiG, Marty, and Suzie.
And thank god they made them write original songs and do more than ten weeks of karaoke. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

but I like Scott's stage moves I find it sorta attractive, as weird as that may be.
Anyways I kinda figured Jordis would get kicked off. And in a way I was kinda suprised to not see MiG in the bottom 3 but then again we have all the little fangirls voting for him. And he is still the only one that hasnt been in the bottom 3. Yay for MiG and really it's not a bad thing like some people think because he has already sang Mystify and Need You Tonight with INXS so he doesn't need to show that he can sing their songs.
Why did INXS choose JD and Marty sing their originals again? Why not make them write a new song again. I'm already sick of Pretty Vegas.
Hopefully Suzie or JD go this week, preferably Suzie but like that's gonna happen.

I agree. I was reading some people's comments about the show and alot of them were making a big deal about it because they were replacing Michael and that no one will be able to take his place and that INXS just needs to move on. But they are moving on. People think that INXS isn't changin their name because they aren't moving on and other things like that. Did ACDC change their name when they got Angus? Obviously no. People just piss me off sometimes
Anyways going off topic for a moment. I can't figure out who I should do for my leader report. I want to do a musician but I can't decide. All I know is that I need to find a lot of information on whoever it is. Any ideas? |

I like Scott's moves too, but they're very very funny. If you saw him for the first time, they'd look a lot like Marty's have through the first few performances. Takes some getting used to.
I was a little surprised MiG wasn't in the bottom three as well, but indeed he has all those girlies votin' for him. Mostly why I've never felt the desire to vote at all, doesn't make a difference if there's thousands of preteens doin' it for me.
I hate JD. I hate his singing, his performance, his writing, and he's not even good looking. <_< Time to say bye bye to the asshole.
I do admit that when I first heard about the show, the concept was very amusing and kinda...unsettling. Not because they're moving on, but because the concept is such a silly publicity stunt. They could have auditioned singers and released the new album without the drawn out reality bullshit, but instead it's like "well, our singer offed himself...let's have a cheesy contest to replace him!"
They're gonna have a lot of outraged fans no matter what, but MiG is still the closest they're going to get to Michael's talent and not have the old songs changed too much. Marty may be competent, but he's too focused on this new "alternative"-ish stuff to really do INXS justice.
And yeah, wanting them to change the name is stupid. Hardly any band does that, except when a singer just leaves and happens to own the name. AC/DC didn't change when Bon died and Brian joined, Van Halen was still Van Halen after Dave left, Black Sabbath was still Sabbath through all the singers... When it's down to just one original member, then people can whine for a name change, but not now. People just like to complain. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
