I'm from Germany and want to know, whether there are some bands you know from Germany (except for Rammstein )
And do you like them or not?

Einstrzende Neubauten. Weird stuff, but I like the stuff they do with percussion. Ein Stuhl in der Hlle is probably my favorite tune. _________________ "I've got a sticky Darodo!"

Isn't the band that did "Barbie Girl" and "Around the World" German? Aqua is it? My Brother listens to them alot. They're pretty good. _________________ I AM A SIG!!!!! FEAR ME!!!!!! |

I'd reccomend Blmchen..and Ben Becker.
I dont think Aqua is German..Rammstein sang a german version of Barbie girl, I think that is what you mean. :\ _________________ |

No one mentioned Nena. They did 99 luft Balloons. I like that song. So what if it was a one hit wonder. _________________ I have magical female powers

Nena?
Still very popular in Germany... (her last hit was "Willst du mit mir geh'n?")
(But I don't like her ) |

*blinks* I don't follow German music, but there was this one song that was pretty popular a few years ago - it kept popping up on German MTV. It was called "Girl for a Day" and I think it was done by Band Ohne Namen (don't quote me on the spelling of the name - I'm not a German student). It was an excellent song though, and the music video was pretty hilarious (the two band members crossdressed so they could ogle all the members of an all-girls school).
The refrain went, "If I have one wish for free then I know what I'd like - I want to be a girl just for a day." XD
Isn't Aqua from some Scandinavian country? |

Hm... I listen to Bands like this:
Rammstein
Subway to Sally (my absolute fav!) (www.subwaytosally.de)
In Extremo
Samsas Traum (www.utopia-ist-ueberall.de)
Schandmaul
Die rzte
Guano Apes
Megaherz (www.megaherz.de)
...all of them pretty good (but some aren't really famous) rock bands! |

Oh Dschingis Khan... *sigh*
Laibach is great, save a couple songs they've done that just sound like angry noise. I'm convinced if you listen to those particular songs too much, you WILL snap and start killing people. _________________
