We're going to make up some nice rules to distinguish what spam is. We're all going to come up with rules that a majority of the people agree with, and after that I don't want any complaints.
As of now:
1) No spamming on topics, we have a spam board for that. We'll try to all stay on topic so there are no more complaints about that. If you want to go off topic, please create a new topic stating what you wanted to talk about.
2) Do not harrass each other. Please refrain from the whole "Screw you, I'm going to kill you. I will hurt you. I will make you bleed" sort of thing. I'm happy to say that I haven't really seen this happen yet.
3) Respect the Site Helpers and Webmaster. If you have a complaint, please e-mail one of us about it instead of making a big scene on one of the message boards. we will try to work it out with you and we will compromise. Let's try to keep everyone happy, okay?
4) If your post has been deleted, and you want to know why, I can set up a topic for that and you can ask. It was probably spam, either way, we'll let you know.
Results of breaking the rules:
Harrassment:
1st offense - warning
2nd offense - One day suspension
3rd offense - Week Suspension
4th offense - banning from the forums
(Note: these may very, it depends on the post that was made)
Spamming
1st - 3rd offenses - Warning and asked to keep spam on the spam forum and deletion of post
4th - 6th offense - Day's suspension and deletion of post
7th + - Week's suspension and deletion of post.
Basically, this varies as well. If you spam and we say "Please don't do that" and you continue, you will obviously be in trouble. If it's something small like... maybe going slightly off topic? we won't suspend you. We'd probably just ask you to get back on topic. If you go way off topic and just say some random thing, even after we ask you not to numerous times, you'll be suspended. We'll probably warn you more than three times, so please, don't worry about that. Repeat offenders WILL be suspended, though.
Harrassment of a Mod
(Note: No, if you call one of us a bitch we will not automatically suspend you. However, if you are constantly complaining to us and harrassing us (ie.- calling us sluts, bitches, or bastards constantly) on the forums instead of addressing the problem in a mature, calm matter privately with us, this is what will happen to you.)
1st offense - warning
2nd offense - Day's suspension
3rd offense - week's suspension
4th offense - month's suspension
5th offense - Ban
------------------------------------------------
Please offer your opinions on these. These are NOT set rules, I'm just starting this up. The rules are open for any changes or ideas you may have. If you don't voice your opinion, please don't complain when the rules are made. Let's all be nice and mature about this, okay ? |

A couple additions/clarifications.
If a thread naturally goes off topic due to chain of thought or conversation, that's generally not a problem provided it's not interfering with the thread as a whole. Like for example, if two people started talking about shoes for 15 posts while everyone else was trying to talk about civil war in Africa, that's a problem. But if the original topic is pretty much finished and the thread happens to spark conversation about something else, as long as it's not interfering with some other discussion, it's for the most part fine. A new thread should be made if you want to talk about something completely different, however. This exception is more about someone mentioning something, you reply to it, someone else replies, and it ends up off the other topic but was related to posts made in the thread.
Jokes about other threads: depends. If it warrants its own topic, it's probably fine. Like what Lasher did was fine. It wasn't offensive to me and was making fun of how stupid Godzilla came off. But really, this should be limited to things that deserve to be made fun of. If you don't like a serious topic, that's really no reason to make fun of it. Like making a thread to mock the gay marriage or abortion threads. If you aren't sure where it belongs, you can always throw it on the spam board just in case. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I think those rules make sense and are a good idea. I totally agree with them. |

It's not a 'chain reaction', dear. I've been trying to set up rules for a while. No one would answer me when I asked about it, so I did it anyway As I said, we're just discussing it now. These aren't really in effect yet, they're just so we can talk about what rules we want. |

You know how you have to agree to rules on the main page before you join? None of those rules include the forums. There should be some sort of agreement in the forum section that requires newbies to read through all these before they submit thier first post. _________________ |

Not that they'll read it... most will probably just hit the "agree" button or whatever without reading anything.
Yea, these seem fine to me. _________________ 222.

Isn't there another forum rules post elseware?
If a thread naturally goes off topic due to chain of thought or conversation, that's generally not a problem
I read topics based on their names, and stop reading when they get old. If the topic changes, some mod should append something to the topic name as approprate, or me, and probebly other people, who stop reading the thread won't notice the new topic. _________________ You will obey or molten silver will be poured into your ears. |

Pain in the ass. If someone remembers to do that, great, but it's usually just a few people carrying on the new topic. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I don't think there is. If there is a topic on it, I don't remember. |

Thought I made one before.
Well, this can be murged with it I guess.
On the subject of Harrassment of a Mod, I think the rules should be more strict. The mods and site helpers do alot of work for this site and deserve respect. _________________ You will obey or molten silver will be poured into your ears. |

Thanks Denis Wooo, Fallen, I feel stupid now. I'm sorry I redid a thread Been out of it these past couple of days, you know? I'm obsessed with this game and I think it's got my mind off track.
I checked out the site rules and I noticed that it doesn't specify certain things, like what would be considered spam or rules on harrassing other users. So I can change this topic title or something... |

True.. but if it's constant harrassment, then I think it's alright to suspend/ban. I mean this when it comes to harrassment of ANY user, not just site helplers. |

Yeah, I know. With those threads we have so on all the people that did that so far, I'd have to say I agree with you . Godzilla left a comment on a picture of mine... he called it 'cute' O.o I figured it was strange since he's really kind of an asshole and all. Besides... wasn't he banned? |

I think that this thread (in general art discussion) has become spam. It's just one user posting picture after picture. _________________ 222.
