ahhh those!

cramped. hot, uncomfortable seats. Loud. No room. Soldiers packed like sardines. Combat landings hurt. Never jumped from one though.

I should get frequent flyer miles on my visa card. I've flown everywhere on them things :P

Anyways, what's it like to be an American soldier? To know it's never safe, and to know you could die at any given time? I imagine it takes guts and bravery to do it.

It scares the living sh** out of me, to be honest.

That's why i try to find my little escapes. FAC is one of those little escapes. t5p is another. We just went through havoc so if anyone is interested in trying it out... any server is a good one... well except hardcore :P

We're killing hardcore this set.

That's cool, that you have escapes and stuff.

My escape would be like, blasting Orgy into my ears (I'm obsessing with a band again <3), sitting back, relaxing, or just drawing.

I know one of the soldiers from Iraq was just killed near my city in California. He went home to visit his new born baby, and the ex-boyfriend went and shot him in front of his wife and the child. It's sad Sad

Not anything, I was in the hospital Saturday and he was worrying his ass off <_<

But yeah, it's like, not far at all from my city, and there was one that was shot down on the freeway I took to school.

Actually i was quite worried too. I didn't know your asthma was that bad. I hope you're better now.

Anyway, my story.

I'm going to draw a little bit for this so you understand

A is the front gate. B is the tower....

Now that's not to scale and there's alot more there than i'm showing but i figure a rough drawing will help walk ya through it

First of all i was with one of my unit members who had to go pick up a guy at the building C. The guy went inside and i sat out at the truck at point ME. Well the guy was escorting some Iraqi out to my vehicle a truck was cleared at the front gate. Instead of turning where he was supposed to at building C he went straight for the CP. Tower B saw this and shot him up stopping the truck at point ME. By this time i'm locked and loaded and leaning up against the wall there. I have a clear view. The guy i was with had his Iraqi with his weapon to the back of the mans head. I watched the vehicle and the next events took about all of 4 or 5 seconds.

A guy climbed down from the truck with his hands up. He had an AK in his hand and that was all i needed. click Boom. That was the first time i had ever shot at anyone. Now normally i aim center mass and i have my weapon zeroed that i always hit the upper left shoulder... for some reason i aimed to the right. I must have been nervous too. Cuz the red dot appeared on his forehead. It splattered everything everywhere.. all i remember seeing was red after that. Cuz there were bangs and booms all around me and they literally ripped this man apart.

I was told by those that briefed me that i did right. I had every reason to pull the trigger but i still feel bad.

heh... a soldier with a heart. who knew?

Anyway I have a question, maybe I should have IM you instead but w/e.

It might have been ask but, what is Iraq like? I know its hot a deserted but whats the surroundings and stuff? Whats your opinion on Iraq?

it's not so bad. It does have a rainy season contrary to popular belief. It rained for almost an entire month here. Off and on. Longest rainstorm was like 5 days

but other than that it's desolate. It's not so hot when you get used to it. Of course i work in an air conditioned office most of the time.

but yeah... i wouldn't wanna live here. but it's not THAT bad.
