*whimpers*
I think we should have a monthly thing, for going through and deleting dead threads that are wasting space, full of spam, not complying with the whole harrassment and just rules. That way things don't get out of hand and are all backed up to high heaven and next thing you know, we got a forum problem with things like we did on the main site with pictures being misplaced, taking up space, breaking rules, and putting more s**t on the site without need.
I'm not saying we go crazy with it. As some may know, i tend to delete threads of mine after awhile if i find them at the back of the list and not needing anymore added to it. I just revived a few old ones last night, but that was because i had something to say on them *shrugs* and if 5 months down the road and someone wants to talk about something we deleted 5 months ago, fine, start a new thread on it. New threads are good in that since in that things are kept clean and up to date. And you don't walk in thinking you have to read through a shitload of new stuff. *shrugs*
i'm thinking of putting a thread up for it, leaving it closed until say the end of the month, open it then, let people report any threads that are dead beat, all spam and a waste of space, or breaking rules and just not being used anymore and could be cleaned out to make room for more space. It would be a good time to do it too cause we make the random drawing for the artists of the month contest at the end of them month so we have it for the 1st.
What do you guys think? |

Old threads really don't take up that much space. It's things like a ton of attached images that should be avoided to save space. The problem I have is the archives are nice to look back on and reread, refer to, whatever later on. As long as they aren't complete spam like that thread linked above, I think they should stay. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

I'd rather dead threads get closed or moved to a Trash forum than be deleted. Its good to have them around for refrence. _________________ You will obey or molten silver will be poured into your ears. |

yeah, I agree, Denis. Do we have a trash or archive forum to put them into? Or would you rather just leave them in the forum they're in, but have them closed? |

Yeah, closing them to prevent grave digging would be nice. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Yeah... Like how good old Leo, I think it was, brought back that "Leo is a Fag" thread. That thread needs to die. |

Yeah, i hate that thing. What a wonderful thing to have a welcome mate to this place. It was mine *stares blankly* not a good first impression of akito, and still that kid fails to prove to me he has mature and respect for others, nothing but an extreme lack of self control.
sounds good to me though *Shrugs* |

Considering the subject, I was always fully prepared to ignore the particular word choice at the time. I just don't care for its revival. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
