Worst Band/song

In my opinion, all rap and hip-hop. But rock has it's terrible bands as well, so I figure I'll go with Marilyn Manson and everything to do with Marilyn Manson as my worst band and songs.

bad "rock" and "punk" bands: good charlotte, simple plan, avril lavigne, trapt, POD, linkin park, hoobastank, story of the year, limp bizkit, and a lot of other bands overplayed on krock and the like

all those fake pop bands/artists (nsync, britney, christina, etc), as well as most rap bands simply because i don't like rap or hip hop that much

anyone from american idol, making the band, popstars, or any other reality show

also, a lot of bands who were formerly awesome but sold out/changed their music so that now they suck. for example, less than jake, saves the day, incubus, and the ataris

...and that's all i can think of for now

I gotta agree with you on every one of those except for Incubus. They have good guitar and bass, just the vocals are becoming politically charged(e.g. "Megalomaniac") and aren't making as much sense as they used to. All reality shows are rigged. Votes my ass.... Avril's a poser and Limp Bizkit is just flat out stupid. I'm glad someone finally agrees with me on the Limp Bizkit one. Can't believe they were ever popular *shakes his head*.

I agree on nearly everything already said.
Britney, Nsync, and Christina are all children of satan. Hmm...also all of those overly depressed bands, they just try to hard to be unhappy. *cough*evanescence*cough* Avril is evil, Linkin' Park is evil, Good Charlotte is uber evil. <_<

Only thing I disagree with is the Ataris. They're from my town so I have to like them.

Avril's a wannabe punk poser, skater, and singer. Good Charlotte just looks like they're trying to become goth/punk by appearences only. Their music doens't reflect their image. What do you guys think about Metallica? Once completely awesome, and the newest thing they have out(St. Anger) completely sucks.

Ah Metallica, yes their old stuff was great, but now.....erg. I'll say that I'm a fan of the old Metallica music, but not their new stuff.
I'm a little surprised that no one has said anything aboput Jessica Simpson yet. She's usually fun to make fun of. Eheh.

Thank you for remindig me. Understand that her dumb-blonde act is just that, an act, but her music is s**t. As for her Saturday Night live appearence, it was kinda funny, but then again, SNL has lost a lot of it's hilarity. She isn't hot, she can't sing, and the mention of her name makes me wanna hurl. I'm sure she's smart, but she hasn't made that image, so I find it hard to respect her.

I agree with everything above. Rap, hip hop, punk rock, pop, and most all country. Country is only tolerable when someone's playing the fiddle and no one is singing. Then I don't mind it as much. Rap... I wouldn't even call that music.

However, Dave Matthews is actually a pretty cool person, he just needs to get some cooler songs out. "When the World Ends" is simply obsessive, but "Gravedigger" has cooler guitar parts.

Indeed, there's a lengthy thread I created about it...it stopped being about the Greatest Hits after about the 6th post and became a debate over the Illusion albums, but anyway. Yes, I know of it. Hate it, despise it, hate the jackasses at the label, what else is new.

Guns n' Roses had no say on it, they were pissed off about it too. So was our local rock station. Had a lengthy rant on it on a new album show. They said screw the greatest hits and go for your own favorites because the executives in charge of labels don't know s**t.

Yeah, I feel the exact same way, fallen. Guns N' Roses is an awesome band(I personally like "Paradise City") and it didn't need to be disrespected by having no say in their own "greatest hits" album. Biggest load of crap I read.......

Another terrible band is the Misfits. They have the worst lyrics I ever heard. I don't want to listen to a song named "Angelfuck". Overlooking the fact that they were a goth/metal band in the sixties and seventies, they completely suck.
