Well, we just traded in our 2002 Ford Explorer XLS model earlier today fora brand new 2004 Ford Explorer XLT Sport.

We lease, it's easier and cars only get in worse condition over time. Not to mention that if something is fucked up with the thing, they have to fix it, or trade us and give us a brand new one ot finish the lease with and s**t. And we get road side assitance anywhere we are the whole time during the lease. It's quite nice if you ask me, getting a new car every 2 or 3 years, with new features they're always coming out with and more safety features and all that crap.

the XLS was the bottom model of the explorer, and the XLT is the nicer one, just below the ediie baurer model and limited. we got hte XLT Sport though with a few extra features. It's really nice and comfy, and the ride is smoother than any car i've ever been in before. It rides as nice as my one boss's Lexus ES she has, which i had to drive to the dealer for her yesterday actually and back with her long time boyfriend (they're married basically, they act like it) who is my other boss.

But man, the last oen was nice, but this one has graphite leather instead of the tan colored clothe, and leather steering wheel, 6disc cd changer, fog lamps, automatic lights, lights on the mirror that turn on when your coming up to it or getting out. Third row leather seat, which i thought was going ot be clothe but it wasn't, and believe it or not, it's easier to get back into the third row seat than it is to get i nthe back row seat of a mini van, almost as easy as just getting in the second row seat of a mini van really. And my knees weren't pressed up against hte second row seats either whnei sat in the back. Nice i think, good to know whenever my friends decide to have a party, lol. Any how, there's a lot of other s**t, it's just real comfy and the handling is even better than before, it can take the corner faster even that the 2002 model, and you can barely hear the engine, it has special padding system in the hood that absorbs the sound vibrations from the engine, so it's nice quiet, smooth ride. yaay!

lol. most people make comments whenever i mentioned getting the new one, or how i prefer them over cars really. i drive cars now nad then, my bosses and a few of my friends. And i just don't feel safe. I'm a big vehicle person, i read all the magazines, and i've done mechanical drawing and how how structures withhold against things (i wanted to be an arch/designer) and i'm sorry but i feel safe, and i know for a fact, that i am more safe in my explorer than i would be in my boss's lexus. I can see better any how and i can still fit everyone in it comfortably and get on with life. Although i wouldn't mind a 1967 or 1974 mustang *winks* lol, those are my two favorite mustangs. lol. new ones look ugly man, yuke.

My comments on SUVs.

Dont know how people can park somthing that big.
Too hard to see around when backing outta parking space or making a left turn.
How can people afford gas sucking veichels at todays gas prices?

Actually Denis, they are very easy to park. A lot of them have better handling than most cars. Like i said, i have a 2004 exploer and those things have practically no blind spots. They are VERY easy to see out of, whether it's in front, to the sides and behind you. And they aren't any bigger in width, lenght than some cars, they're just taller and let you sit up more. And they're hood don't curve down like most cars do, so it's easier to tell if the front if going to hit something, or if the corner will catch a car when your turning into a tight parking space.

I'm a freak about having to see, i've driven all sorts of cars, and none of them compare to my explorer when it comes to looking out and around me easiest. I love it for the fact.

The gas, can be a problem, but there are reasons that out weigh the gas price to have one. They are more commonly equipped with 4WD and AWD, which is perfect for snow, ice, heavy rains and hilly areas. I live outside of New York city, it can be quite hilly, and we had two feet of snow the other week, and my parents left in the middle of it going on a road trip to ohio to see relatives. Because it sits higher (the explorer sits lower than most suvs, but it stil lsits up, bit is also wider than most, so it is hard to tip it over and send it rolling in a turn, you'd have to be an idiot to do so really) they didn't get caught in the snow like the cars. And they didn't slide all over the highway either when it all iced over.

Not to mention the room you have to put things in the back, or people. The gas can suck, but for us it ain't to bad, my parents both work, and i have my own job, in fact, i'm helping to pay the lease, insurance, and the gas on it with them. and it's just the suv between the three of us right now. But the way they go through gas is getting better each year. They're already doing studies on hybrid suvs. And if your car is 3 or more years old, it wastes through more than you think. They really go down hill after three years. Another reason we lease for 3 years, cause we don't have to deal with that crap.

Just because you got hit huh? That's inmature. Now me, when we first got our old suv we just traded in, four days after getting it, a mercedes benz hits our tail light passing us. Stupid thing is, a 18 wheeler and a load of cars passed us fine (we were turning left onto another street) but this guy his us. Then, two weeks ago, another mercedes ben his me, the small suv they have, nearly took of my mirror. I was at a two lain stoplight, waiting for it to turn green, she came in the left lane WAY to fast and WAY to close to me.

Also, last week, another mercedes benz beside me at a stop light, decided he could floor it over ice and snow, well, he couldn't, he car spun out and the back end almsot hit me. Now when the same car, has hit you or come so close, then you can say they're evil.

I'm okay with them. They don't bother me. (hint hint) The only vehicle (spelling???) that bothers me are those huge comercial (I SO hate spelling) trucks THAT ARE SO HUGE YOU CAN'T SEE OVER THEM. Not even in a monster truck (unless it's in mid air). It's also sorta hard to look under it. =^_^=
