I just got a killer deal for pencils at michael's, I got 12 pencils (of different grade) and two sharpeners for about 6 USD  and these aren't cheap-o pencils either, they are General's.
anywho, they came with two ebony pencils that had different casing than other pencils, but to me, they seem nothing more than pencils of 6B-ish darkness, what is different from ebony and other pencils? _________________ "Sarah's future makes me sad." - Benk |

Ebony pencils are a soft black pencil as opposed to the different levels of grey you'll get with normal graphite drawing pencils. They're actually more comparable to a 9B pencil. If they're good quality they should be a very smooth dark black. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Ditto to what fallen said. Ebony pencils are a lot like graphite, just not as messy and a bit more shiny. |
