((i dissagree fallen XD greenday isnt rap and I think they have good music XD...they are heavy metal and people find teh littlist reason to hate them like exmple :tyler from school:I HATE THEM,THEY WEAR EYELINER!

Its not about your opinions, its never about your opinions, unless they are conveyed in a manner that people will actually look at and say 'wow, his/her opinion actually matters beacause she conveyed it in an almost intelligent manner, and they backed it up with something that can be considered REASON! OMFG!'

Great observation, captain obvious. No one said they were. I said that MTV rap, Good Charlotte, and Green Day (three separate things) are all the same when it comes to people jumping on the bandwagon because it's popular.

Good for you, but I hate to break it to you, no one cares. In fact, threads that are just "I like ____" are always closed because of the fact no one cares, and there's nothing to talk about in that case. Bring in evidence to support your reason for them being a good band, NOT reason for liking them. Reason for their technical skill and merit. "I like them" is not a valid response, read the fact vs opinion pinned topic.

She's right, you'll be raked over the coals for that comment. Green Day are NOT in any way shape or form "heavy metal". Ozzy Osbourne, Slayer, Metallica, that's heavy metal. Green Day are pop rock through and through.

They're pop rock. Sometimes pop punk, but "punk" shouldn't even be included in their name.

They're entirely a pop band with nothing "heavy" about them. Listen to Slayer if you want something heavy.

Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, AC/DC. Those are heavy rock. Greenday is just another sh*tty pop band Just calling them pop rock is starting to strech it. The only time "rock" and "greenday" should be used together in a sentence is with the word "not" or a description of what you would like to bluedgeon them with. f**king greenday, simple plan, all that crap. Their just as bad, if not worse, than rap.
