That's all high school dances are.

A friend and I plan on bribing the DJ to play good music Wink [/quote]
that is the BEST idea i've heard. I just need to find a way to hold onto money after I shell out 75 dollars for tickets. The hell is THAT, anyway? They feed us terrible food and make us listen to terrible music for 75 dollars? Stupid.

Anyway. Rap should die a slow bloody death.

You always have to purchase prom tickets because it pays for the venue rental, staff, DJ, decorations, and usually food if the tickets are expensive.

As for getting good music played...good luck. Most DJs for those kinds of events are hard to sway because being hired again depends on pleasing the masses. And the masses are those jackasses grinding to Britney Spears, not the people in the corner who have taste and dignity.

I think that person was talking about a prom or a big, formal dance in leased hotels/places.

I think my School had a dance with the Oktoberfest.

mm... sausages and cleavages...

Yeah, prom tickets run anywhere from $15 to over $100, depending on the school. Mine was only $22, but that's because it wasn't in a big hotel like the Hilton or a boat, and there was only snacks, not a full meal served. Most $75 ones include a nice venue and food.

Nice venue and food my ass... We had two pieces of lettuce and a cucumber for a salad and chicken covered in something that looked and tasted like barf. The ballroom was nice, though. And they served yummy cocktails.

Didn't say nice food. Just that there is some. We didn't have any food service besides chocolate n' cookies n' stuff. Thus the cheap tickets.

Plenty of rap music, though. God proms suck.
