Which Band Member

We know that all of the members of a kickass band get a lot of groupies and butt buddies but we all know that some band members get more groupie butt than others simply because of the position they play.

Maybe it depends on the band but I think there's like a trend. Like personally, I think that the frontman of any given band will always get more tail at first than any of the other band members unless another player is like beyond beautiful but thats a rare exception. Drummer gets the least chicks unless they're well endowed like Tommy Lee himself which is also a very rare exception. Bassists and rhythm guitarists get like a fair amount of chicks. It depends on how well they can play. If they're great, they have like a chance of getting more ass than the frontman but if they suck then they're almost worse off than the drummer.

So you be the judge. Which instrument will get a guy more chicks? Or a chick more guys? Wink

Frontman gets more everything.

Followed by the lead guitarist.

Then rhythm, bass, and drummers are on pretty level ground.

Always exceptions depending on the band, though, but those tend to be the general preferences for any kind of attention. Press, photo arrangements, and pussy.

The Beatles are a big exception, though, 'cause they were very much a four piece. Most people can name every member. But in almost every other band, people can only name the frontman and maybe the lead guitarist. Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Van Halen, and that's just part of frontmen getting all the attention in general. Sad

That's true. The other thing about the Beatles was that it wasn't clear whether John or Paul was the frontman.

This topic reminds me of something Pete Townshend once said, about how if he wrote a book about all the famous women (and men!) who wanted to sleep with him, there would be a scandal.
And that's Pete Townshend. Not exactly known for being a looker, y'know.

Yea but Angus Young was just the guitarist. A very talented and awesome guitarist but not as well known as Bon Scott was. Thus the reason why frontmen get the most chicks. The media just tends to give them more air time.

Out of that list I can name like the frontman and guitarist in Led Zep, all the members of Aerosmith (although I tend to get the drummer and bass player mixed up), the guitarist and frontman of AC/DC, and all the frontmen of Van Halen and Eddie.

So I guess the frontmen and guitarists seem the most well known unless the guitarist sucks then its just the frontman. Although Flea from RHCP did surprise a lot of people and like made a name for himself by being a kickass bassist. And we all know who Tommy is not for his drumming talents but for other more naturally given talents. Wink

I've had a few classes where my ability to name all the members of bands was so unusual, people were fascinated. :huh: "omg omg, all the members of the Rolling Stones, who are they?!"

The bassists/drummers that get more attention are generally based more on personality than playing. Even if Flea was a lesser bassist, he'd still get a lot of attention because of his personality. C'mon, the man performs naked (or nearly naked in a lot of cases). With Motley, all the personalities were so strong that they all got a lot of attention, but Vince still the most. Mick less because of his quiet personality.

And they are the [i]front[/i]men for a reason. But still...
