No, it's the end of the world. After the humans are all killed off, giant bunny slippers will rule the galaxy. It's true.

Let's see...eight years...I'll be 25.... Works for me. Those are the good years, anyway. It's all downhill from there.

EDIT: Oh, and it's much more likely the human race will destroy itself before any natural disaster.

What, you mean it has more than a 1-in-thousands chance of hitting the planet?

Y2K was just a bunch of people who thought the world would end or something because it was going to be the year 2000 and people thought that computers would all crash, and stuff would go haywire. Least thats what I heard of it.
My neighbor bought about 300 gallons of water and kept tit all in his basement because he thought that he would need it all once the world ended. I bet he still has all that water too......

Global extinctions happen only once every 50 miljon years. We've had one rather recently, and of coarse it's no guarantee, but I'd say we are pretty safe. Besides' the worst that could happen (apart from the impact) is that the sky would turn black for a decade because of the ash from the explosion. If we were dependant of natural resourses, we would have a problem, but now it would be an inconvenience.

People were afraid of computers accidentally (or dictators purpously) starting a nuclear war in 2000. That's why a lot of them built bomb shelters. Other people were not worried about war, but were more conserned about computers loosing all their information. That's why people were withdrawing all their money out of the banks like crazy.

You have to admit though, that aside all of the paranoia, the Y2K thing was pretty darn fun. All of those pretty picket signs....it was somewhat like the sixties, (or so I imagine) but with more technology. Picketers just make me happy. Smile

Heh, I read 'bout this. Did a current event for it o.o;; The chances are extremely slim, almost nada, but hey, dun wanna ruin anyone's enthusiasm 'bout the world ending. I actually think it'd be kinda fun, watching all the pathetic mortals die from my new home on Pluto.

You'll watch them die 5 hours after they actually do, because thats how long light takes to travel to pluto.

I learnt something from that trip to the science center. Wow. O.o

Ignore me now.

If you have real fast internet, you could watch all the death and carnage pretty close to while it was happening, but then again, I dunno too much about interplanetary internet speed.
