Whoo. I'm back, for a bit I guess. I'm so excited that the 2nd season of FullMetal Alchemist has finally began! XD
Oh, and also Fayore. Back to the whole thing about 'edo'...
I just recently discovered this, ever since my sister's fiancee sent me the whole series on DVD though the mail.
Seeing you know SO much about japanese, you DO realize that in the original Japanese version of FullMetal Alchemist, that they call Edward 'edo' as a nickname, rather than just ed as they do in English? Same goes for 'aru' for al. And some others.
Not only that, but they spell his name out with the katakana characters 'e' and 'do' too, both manga and anime.
True, they were aimimg for his name to sound like 'ed'. But really, maybe besides my reasoning for calling him that, there was nothing wrong with posting his name as 'Edo' in the first place.
I don't wish to debate anymore, now. |

Excuse me for my wording.
I meant that Adult Swim has finally began to air the second season of FullMetal Alchemist in English. B)
And please quote me correctly, next time. |

Marzipan, you're not worth talking to. Your lack of Japanese culture and language astounds me, so I'm not going to bother with you anymore. Especially with the way you don't seem to mind flagrantly displaying your ignorance. _________________

Well, Japanese culture is hard to sink in if you don't come from an industrialized far-east Asian nations, but still, I personally try to not state anything as a factual knowledge since there's a chance that I might be wrong, I save that for the people, you know, have been there or know some of the language?
Watching Anime does not make you Japanese. _________________ "Sarah's future makes me sad." - Benk |

I came late to tell you what I think of the show. It's pretty dandy, finally an interesting anime show. Alchamy is pretty cool, by the way it seems on the show. It's interesting. I like it. xD _________________ Wyat Fucking Earp! |

Nice. Another convert. ^o^
BTW, for those of you interested in the manga, I know the first few books are out in the States, but if you want to read ahead, I rediscovered an interesting link... |

I remember that place. XD I never read very far, though. I don't usually like reading manga on the computer, although I'll do it if I have nothing better to do. XD _________________

But it's so good! I'm attracted to manga with nice art-styles. I read Shaman King solely because I love the style that it's drawn in. And I read Fullmetal Alchemist because I am madly in love with Ed's boots. Well, that's not the only reason, but it is a good one. ^^; |

One thing I'm excited for, is when the Adult Swim boards will experience a historical moment...where fangirls will start to go on a massive rampage when they watch the last few episodes, where-
spoiler-highlight:
Ed gets killed by Envy by getting stabbed through the chest-a really massive cliffhanger on the second to last episode.
_________________ Makes you wonder, doesn't it? |

*shrugs* It'll only freak people out for a week, 'til they air the last episode. Then people are really going to be upset until they get to see the movie, because the end of the anime is no ending at all. |
