I don't own any DDR stuff. The only thing I own is DDR Data in my PS2 Memory card and the "skillz." (Who says this, now?) _________________ When we both rule the world, we will be entertained by the little things. |

Hah, I was wondering how long it would take until you'd drag this thread out. Yay, a fellow DDR addict! I love Tsugaru so much - problem is, I didn't get to play DDR much this summer so I'm all out of practice and can't beat it on Heavy anymore. Nothing a bit of practice can't fix, but I find myself hard-pressed to find DDRing time (that isn't at 3am on Friday nights).
I remember the first time I played DDR - it was during my freshman year of college, and both my roommate and I got D's on the stupid super-easy song (After the Game of Love XD). I didn't play again for a long time after that.
I started playing seriously when I bought my first pad the summer before last. Couldn't even beat Butterly on Light then, but I improved a lot over a full summer of practice. I was tackling nine-foot Heavy songs before I went to Japan for the summer this year (I guess that makes one full year of play at that point), but now I've regressed a bit, so I'm back to working my way through eight-footers.
The sad part is my timing is slightly off from the arcade game (I usually play on my computer), so I can only handle Standards when playing at the arcade. So not leet. |

Ooooomg....I thought I'd never see this thread again...
I started doing doubles a while back and it's not easy as it looks! As of now, the only double heavy song I can easily pass is Butterfly.
The rest I can do on standard. I'm not ready for double heavy yet. I did a some random song once on heavy doubles and I failed it miserably because I was still adapted to one pad...
Blah. Maybe I need to run more. _________________ When we both rule the world, we will be entertained by the little things. |

I'm that that good at DDR but I don't have the game at home. The only chances I havd to play was at the arcade and it closed :(
If ever I get to buy a PS2 I buy that game for sure r if I can put my hand on it for a gamecube version. ^_^ _________________ A life with love will have some thorns but a life without love will have no rose |

I don't play DDR. In fact, I'm so into it that I made a club dedicated to not playing DDR. ^_^

Eh, DDR might be fading, but it's not gone yet (in America, at least). Of course, DDR is long gone from Japan - Pop'n Music is totally in! They're on the thirteenth incarnation of that game already. XD |
Well that's nice Will. Have you ever tried it out before?
I did, until I got my ass handed to me by a nine-year-old. That's when I decided that there were better ways to spend my time. ^_^ _________________

Run more, it helps.
Passed some more double heavy songs. Dream a Dream, and Abyss. Yes, I'm crazy.
True, DDR is fading away in the Japanese world. But there are still small DDR factions all over the place! I happen to be in one of them.
I never tried Pop'n Music before. It looks colorful! ^_^ _________________ When we both rule the world, we will be entertained by the little things. |

DDR is the greatest game ever. If only I owned it.
Has anybody seen those cheap imitations of DDR? They're really pathetic; with only eight songs and 2 levels. Some of them just project pictures on to a wall. |

I've played DDR for the first time in MONTHS this past week.....
I missed it so...
I went from light mode to standard with 1.5 speed and dark arrows(for the DDR illiterate, this means you dont see the flashing arrows at the top where you're supposed to press the correct arrows).
<3 DDR <3 I haven't played because I needed new DDR pads. My old ones were crappy ones that broke! |

I recently got an industrial size dance mat-- damn, it's the best thing evar. I can so totally kick your ass on Rugged Ash, bitch. That's my song.
....
I actually suck hardcore at DDR, I would be playing Samba De Amigo if I still had my Marraccas. Damn you. Look to The Sky is still a pretty cool song, though. (I only own DDR MAX 2) _________________ |

I've played it....once.
I got my ass kicked in addition to horribly twisting my ankle. Never played again after that...
Which is a shame because I love the music. _________________ a jelly calypso castle in the sky |
