For some reason new windows will not load in my browser. (IE6) Normal windows I can fix with the refresh button, but the comments box runs on javascript and I don't have the buttons to re-load it... I've tried re-installing the browser (several times) but it still won't load new windows. Does anyone have any suggestion on what this may be or how to fix it?

By a new window I mean ones that pop-up.

Interesting... in an annoying sort of way of course . . . you don't have any pop-up blockers in effect, do you? (Besides, pop-up blockers aren't supposed to prevent manual pop-ups like the comment window)

JavaScript can be turned on and off in your browser prefrences if you have a reasonably normal one.

Well I guess we can cross IE5 off the list of "reasonably normal" browsers . . . I couldn't find that switch anywhere . . . oh wait, there it is. Darn Laughing

And going through my Internet Option, Advanced Tab. Anything involving JavaScript is turned on. Hmm... perhaps my computer was just damaged by a spy/ad ware or a virus maybe? My dad is thinking of re-formatting. Would that complicate my submissions to the site?

Well, since I have 98SE with IE5 I'm not sure if these instructions will work on your end, but...

Try Internet Options > Security (Internet) > if it's Medium or lower Javascript should be enabled. Otherwise you can click on Custom Level... and look up Scripting, and there you'll find the master switch to turn Javascript on/off. Honestly why did they make that option so hard to find?

I don't hate IE. IE is an okay browser by its own rights. But damn the IE-Windows integration.

A format and clean install would probebly do you alot of good.

Won't affect your use of this site any, you'll just have to login after.

Of course, you'll want to backup your copies of your art on your computer first.
