The Japanese tend to shorten the 'u' from 'su', often to the point where you can't hear it at all. It's very common to hear 'desu' pronounced as 'dess'.

I haven't heard the English dub, but hm.... 'Sauce-kay' (o_O;) sounds like a drawled out version of 'Sahs-kay' (somewhat more Japanese-ish)... Hahaha. I'm afraid to even imagine what the English sounds like.

Zabusa's cameo in 127 or whenever it was was so very randomly awesome. ^^

Ya an uncut version would rock. HI everyone I love Naruto and my fave character is Sasuke, as well as Kakashi. The dub isnt bad I have seen WORSE and I mean terrible they slaughtered the anime worse. But I like Naruto; they didnt cut all TOO much. Razz

well I just love Naruto and wanted to hear other peoples opinions about it.

Sasuke is a dick.

He is short-sighted, and more than willing to turn his back on anything to kill his brother.

Kakashi has near no character traits. Hell, he's just a tuned down version of Obito.

The best character is Yondaime. Even though he is the Hokage, he still fights in the front lines in the ninja wars. Jounin from other villiges are instructed to run if they encounter him, becauise they won't have a chance.

Actually, Kakashi has many interesting and important character traits that help make Naruto the succesful manga that it is today.

He's a teacher and mentor to Naruto 'n co so he has his serious side and the wiser elder role going for him.

But he has that porn fetish and his tardiness shows a vunerable younger side to him. It adds comic relief to scenes and shows a lighter side to a character that could just as easily stay serious all the time and just fit into the typical "stern powerful teacher" role.

Only thing that annoys me is how his past is so very vague. I know the mystery of Kakashi is supposed to be alluring but its getting really annoying as the manga gets older. At least give some kind of hint of his past. It'll most likely make him an even deeper and better character to understand.

Actualy, most of his "traits" are tributes to Obito, a comrade who became the one who inspired him. His lateness, his perverted nature, the line "One who abondons their comrades is worse than trash" all Obito.

If you want to know about his past, go to Naruto Fan, register, and read chapters 239-244. Doesn't spoil any of the plot. Explains everything Wink

I hate when mangas just segueways off like that. I lost interest when I was going through the flashback and stopped reading. Banghead

gotta pick up again... but Naruto is losing the "adventure/action/conspiracy in the land not too different from ours" niche.

They probably just mean the English version. But either way isn't the 8th vol out in english already? o.O I have all the most recent english volumes but I have so many mangas I can't recall off hand which one I have up to... :/
