And yet i spent plenty of good time on my half of the trade. that kind of art pisses me off more than anything.
You could do what I do: Don't respond to them about the picture.
I agree full heartedly. I can see a little board squiggly now and then, but not posted on fanart " lookie here i made a sexy square on MS paint" and everyone runs too it and "Kawaii!!11!! *favs* " it
Now, if only that constituted a form of abuse... Rolling eyes

Crappy MS paint art. v.v I won't mention names(I can't remember them anyways ^^') but I was looking through some Sonic fanarts, and there are some really good ones! Then...I found this...thing...And it took me a minute to figure out what the hell the picture was of. And Sonic was like this....blob thing....O.o' And I haven't looked at Sonic fanart since.

I thank god I never entered the sonic fandom. It's full of craptacular artists with even more craptacular MS paint drawings... And they get so much attension for it I was to gag myself. MS paint drawings, while looked down on by the higher tere of talent and skill on FAC, are re-enforced by the ever growing mass of fangirls. It's scary...

I have seen some decent sonic fanart on the recent submissions page, but they're highly out numbered by the slew of MS....

Not to pick on sonic fans... it's just that that particular fandom seems to have the most prevailent MS paint infestation.

We need an exterminator...
crappy art with even crappier "copyright" mark.
Oh, I love it when little fanbrats are scared someone is going to steal their lined paper doodles of her OC and [bishie] holding hands (because kissing is too hard to draw). They slap the copyright mark all over it and throw their keyboard into capslock mode, "THIS IMAGE IS MINE DON'T YOU DARE THINK OF STEALING IT OR STEALING MY OC....yadda yadda". Laughing Like anyone would WANT to steal that?

Good God, I'm mean.

But you really have a point... It's hillarious to see that they're afraid of art theft.

OC's are okay, but pair them up with a main character and it becomes an insufferable fantasy that makes the more mature fans what to shoot them.

And I think they have every right to...

Add the notion of unwillingness to learn, whiny caps lock, and a million "OMG KAWAIIII!!!!!!!!!!111one +FAVS+" replies, and the fangirl deserves it. Why fangirls can't grasp the concept of basic human anatomy is beyond me. Like... Eyes are the SAME SIZE(Unless it's super stylized) and limbs can only bend at predetermined places called joints. Everytime I see a drawing like that I have to physicaly restrain myself from flaming, shooting, or critisizing it...

Because you can't win against them. You just CAN'T

I feel the same way. I love to critique people's images, but some things are just too much for me. D: I could write a whole essay on what's WRONG with it. I mean, my art isn't the greatest, but it has hope to become better. And I'm very open to critique on stuff I haven't noticed. I like to improve. These kiddos seem to HATE being told things like "The arms are too short, the eyes are crooked, the head is too big..." etc. I can understand the shock when you think "OMG, They're right! D: ", but there's no need to be pissy. If you're posting your art on the BIG WIDE INTARWEBZ, then expect people to say things about it, and that not all comments will be "OMGLOLKAWAII!!!1"

People who think tracing's hard.

People who say that their tracing took more than few hours.

Here's another one:

That goddamn "InuYasha squatting" picture. I've seen about 20,000 traces of this picture, and I want to smack whoever draws one.

And in the Yuugiou fandom, there's this fanart by Kegi with Malik and a griffin on his shoulder. EVERYBODY copies it. ><

I hate traces and copies. =(

People who thinks that Rumiko Takahashi's style is all there is.

People who jump on the bandwagon in terms of styles.

People who won't comment, but will look through billions of pages of crappy art and will comment on ever single on of them.

(though that's not art... : ) )

As odd as it is to say it, people who won't branch out a bit in styles. I like to see fanart for series that are NOT the original style, not a bunch of carbon copies.

Unless it's hardcore yaoi doujinshi. Then I love it, because then it really looks like the actual characters, not lookalikes, are having kinky buttsex. =D

The only thing CG has over traditional is that it works better for computer viewing (90% of the viewing for most people's cases) as it does not need to be transferred over via scanner.

But what I really hate is the generic anime style. Yeah, you may be awesome at drawing it, but it still comes off as boring and uninspired. Generic anime includes but is not limited to: Inyasha, Sailor Moon, Naruto, any of the Gundam series, Chobits, ect.

A perfect example of generic anime. Notice: uniformed large eyes, small mouth, nearly nonexistant nose, brightly colored hair, "V" shaped face.

Stuff like this:
QUOTE (actual comment)
That has gotto be the best darn pic ever!!
...can get exceedingly annoying when you know the artist hasn't seen the big picture (no pun intended). It's right up there with the millions-of-"kawaii" comments on 5-second MS Paint scratches.

Yeah. Lately, for every new comment I receive on one of my pictures, I delete an older one. Sometimes two <_<

I hate some of the art drawn paint or something, sometimes they are good but most of the time they suck, also i hate art which people draw there own characters and match them up with a real character from a game or something.

Let's add gender swaps to the list of peeves. I'd explain, but I don't think it needs much explanation....

I have 2 shonen ai (but not yaoi, in the literal sense) pictures in my gallery. One is a joke for mocking a specific pairing, and the other one was my half of a collab. I'm actually more into heterosexual pairings, possibly because I can relate to them better.

Really, I think that's also the reason I prefer straight porn over gay porn. =D

*cough*

I just had someone go through MY WHOLE GALLERY AND COMMENT ON EVERYTHING. >< And she left the most retarded comments EVER.
*laughs* hahahahahah XD shes gonna get crabbed lololololololololololololololololol

hehe....this reminds me of the pic that i made called ''two tomb robbers are better than one''.....accept its not two bakuras.....its yami bakura and my character ^^ this is so cool ^^ i love it *lifts up yami bakuras shirt and licks his chest*
