I'm wondering. Mine is sort of American-Japanese. Mainly because I used to draw Anime a lot. Now I'm an all-American artist. I love the style. When I say, "All your own" I mean something like artwork done by Kaare Andrews. So... |

I do anime fanart, but I don't really have a specific style. I never do my art in the style of the series I'm drawing fanart for, though. Each of my drawings is a little bit different.
Though, I try to be a bit more "realistic". And by that, I mean things like... visible lips/cupid's bows, realistically-proportioned noses, and eyes that aren't the size of dinner plates.
But yeah, my style is ever-changing. =/ _________________ FAC |

I do a bit of anime, a bit of anime-realism, but usually I just stick with drawing creatures.
Ink detail = teh win. _________________

My style's always been my own. At some point, I decided that anime-styled artwork was cool and tried to emulate it, but failed miserably. Since then, I've just taken various elements and mixed them together. My art's definitely anime-influenced, but I don't bother with those generic 'anime eyes'. Noses are also downward pointed - I don't really like those sideways-pointing noses. Besides that, I guess the thing that defines my style is simplicity. I fail at details. |

I'm gonna be uber-specific and vague at the same time.
Somewhere between Tsukumo Gou, I love strong colors and figure

and Yoshitoshi ABe, my drawings remind me of his art, and I don't use rulers either.

with hefty influence from Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Evangelion), Urushibara Yuki (Mushi-shi), Hiroaki Samura (Blade of the Immortal) and Masashi Kishimoto (Naruto)

I do my own style of anime. It can be influenced by what anime the character is from though. Like, if I do my character, Shianne, who's from Fullmetal Alchemist, I try to make the eyes and style look more like FMA's style. If it's InuYasha, then Takahashi's style. It just depends I suppose. *shrugs* I have a lot of ways for making eyes, and I'm just now experimenting with showing the nostril without making it look weird. @_@ |

For some reason, that strikes me as an oxymoron. If you base your style and experiences on someone else's, then how much is it truly "your own"?
I don't have an answer to that. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

I've been told multiple times that my painting style emulates Edward Munch, but recently, in paintings I have yet to post, I've been mimicking Wayne Thebone when it comes to colors... Or at least, I've been attempting to. That guy was on something...
For non-realistic drawings, I tend to do my own weird things.. It's a mix of whatever I feal like really... Sometimes there's a definate anime influence, and sometimes it's much more americanized and cartoony...

Yes, good point. Well, to me, which is probably wrong anyways, my own style is a bit of a...combo if you will. Combining what I know about anime with a touch of someone else's style. I don't know, I guess it's not really my own style. Just...forget I ever posted. |

Come to think of it, the style isn't really 'based' on it. It can just be influenced by it. Like...hmm...say I'm reading Fullmetal Alchemist manga, as I usually do. Then I do a drawing. Well, maybe I'll do a clothing style similar to that. Or even a small touch like the way the hair curls off at the end. I dunno, it's hard to explain. |

I don't really have a style. All of my stuff is so different from the next. I guess it looks kind of illustrationy. _________________ |

I have no idea what my style is. It's anime-ish, but I like drawing realistically (doesn't mean I'm good at it) so I don't know. Somewhere in the middle? |

My style is a bit of ah, minimalist realist. I try to look at the big picture and don't get hung up on stupid things like the pattern of a dress or something. _________________ |

I'm constanly changing. If you look at my stuff on here, none of that is exactly the style I do. The work I'm doing now (and is not on Fanart yet) changes depending on my mood. It's always familier (my characters always stay around the same). But sometimes it's an anime style, other times it would be manga style. I'm always drawing wisps of hair so that my characters always have messy hair, and blush lines across their faces. Big eyes (because I'm more of a shoujo style) of course, small noses for the female characters, larger noses (with a large bridge) for the males'. _________________ It took me about ten minutes to defeat Giga Bowser, Ganondorf, and Mewtwo from Super Smash Brothers Melee using Peach.
How long did it take my brother to defeat those characters using Yoshi? Two minutes.
I like to obsess over stuff. Here are all the things I'm obsessing over:
Song: Seize the Day by Default
Anime: D.Gray Man
Anime character(s): Kanda
Video Game: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Video Game character: Wolf O-Donnell from Star Fox Assault
OC: Ray Eclrida, copyright of me (duh!)

Nothing. Anime is cartoons (animated), and manga is comic books. _________________ |

I know... So many people seem to insist that the two are different though. I don't know why. <_< |

In the magical world of Harry Potter, "Anime" style is when the pictures move.
Since we're muggles, they're the same. _________________ "Sarah's future makes me sad." - Benk |
