Good lord, this movie pissed me off so much. Its not like I want my two hours back. It was so good up until the end. It was like they stole all of that happiness away from me right at the end.
The whole movie is unnerving, from the way they do each shot to the music (or lack of music) they use. You feel uncomfortable and on edge for the entire film. By the end you are thoroughly freaked out, the whole thing creepy as hell. And they, just like that, they kill it. Everything, every tensed muscle in your body, your racing heart, everything, just dies. The end of this movie absolutely kills your chances at happiness and fulfillment in life. My suggestion to you is to turn it off exactly ten minutes from the end and never look back. Make up your own ending, that's what I've done. I have erased those ten minutes from my mind and in there place have put my own rendition of what happened to Rosemary. The whole thing was in her mind, that's what I say. My roommate Andrew says that Barney cut off everyone's head with a hacksaw. TJ says George Bush did it. Any of these endings would have been better than what actually happened.
God, a perfect cut and dry case of a fabulous movie being ruined by a poor writing decision.

really? i thought the whole thing sucked.. and i had to kick my brothers ass just to watch it...literally, i kicked his ass, hit him a few times, totally bum rushed his ass because he didnt want to give up the remote.
I did all that and i hated the movie! GOD, helter Skelter hyped it up so much for me too! And ya, i think the ending made it suck worse. Rent "Let's Scare Jessica to death", that movie rox, you got a gang... but all the gang members are in their 70's but they don't actually scare her to the point of death ;_; _________________ "edit : i luv james" - Layzcarter |

I think I've heard of that before. Isn't that the movie where this woman was pregnant with the Devil's child?
That whole concept does sound unnerving. Now when you say "horrible ending" do you mean horrible as in its so scary that you wish it ended on a more positive note or do you mean horrible as in it tried to be scary at the end but it only sucked? 'Cuz if it was a scary ending then I'd probably like it.
It can't be any worse than The Darkness. I swear that movie made me want to hurt things and then skull f**k them in the eyes. I'm tellin' you, people just don't know how to make a good scary movie these days. <_< _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |

The ending itself is cheesy and stupid. It ruined an otherwise good movie.
I'm a sucker for old school horror. You know, where the horro was built on what you couldn't see and what wasn't there? Less was more. Much more. Horror movies now-a-days suck. Signs brought back some of that old school flavor, and I commend them for it, but most movies make that mistake of showing too much of the "thing going bump in the night." Darkness Falls is a perfect example. What could have been a decent horror film was ruined in the first five minutes by showing a full shot of the whitch-ghost in the very first scene! After that, no suspense and therefore no terror of the unknown. _________________

Long time ago since I watched it, so I don;t remember too much about it...though I do remember the ending was dissapointing as hell, one of those annoying 'draw your own conclusions on what will haoppen next' tyoe if things. or, in other words, the perfect way to get someone to go, "THAT'S IT?" in exasperation. Either this was really the writer's bad intention to show that devil wins for a change, or they ran out of ideas. For an old school movie the concept was better back then, but now you see a billion things dealing with the apocalypse and the devil...
So far I think this year has been nothing but cluttered with random, stupid horror movies because it seems people have lost in interest in good drama or just ran out of the only ideas they could think of...which is a shame, really, seeing how nowadays all you see are stupid trailers for stupid movies on tv...and then commercilized horrendously (*cough*CHICKENLITTLE*cough*). Well...if that's the typical American's cup of tea...whatever. Not everybody has to follow the usual trend. _________________ Makes you wonder, doesn't it? |

I'm not angry about a draw your own conclusion ending. I like ambiguous endings. But the way they did it was just so cheesy and hokey that it ruined all the suspense. <_< _________________

I'm into the old school horror too. Horror movies back then just had like an actual plot and memorable characters that were unique and fresh. Nowadays the characters in any given horror movie are boring, predictable and terribly cliche. I want the good old days again with Jack Nicholson playing as a man gone mad due to a haunted hotel possesing him. Now that was a great movie, The Shining. Great plot, excellent acting, and the best part about it was that it was really fuckin' scary. Even when I watch it now I get like really nervous and uptight. Its that scary.
What horror movies today need are better plots. Seriously, if the plot is like shady and the only way to compensate for it is to show the audience the main bad guy right in the beginning then its going to suck. The only horror movies that are truely good (in my opinion anyway) are the ones that were based off of books. The Shining, IT, Interview with the Vampire, Dracula...all of those were based off of great horror books and they're also known for being some of the best horror movies as well.
We need either better horror books to base horror movies off of or M. Night needs to get off his ass and make another great movie because this year's batch of Sci Fi channel horror movies were really sad. If I see IT one more time I'm going to cry. _________________ Vaccum cleaners may look fun, but are deadly sex toys. as are certain vegetables like, terri schiavo -Powtaz |
