I've been driving for a little over a month now and I've noticed I really love to listen to my morning show on the radio. It started with my mom since she would drive me to school on her way to work every morning. We always listened to 93.3 WMMR's show with Preston and Steve. They have some seriously funny stuff.
So now I noticed that I NEED my morning shows in the morning. I'm agitated as I'm driving if I'm too blah to realize the fact that it's on some s**t commercial on the radio or a crappy morning show on some other station.
Point of the topic IS:
What radio morning shows do you watch?
What was your most memorable moment while listening?
Who do you ride in the car with(if anyone) while listening?
What time of the morning are you listening to your morning show?
DISCUSS. |

I used to listen to Howard Stern from 3-7am on a local station back home that would broadcast it at Eastern Time. Not driving, just messing around on the computer usually. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Hah I've had a pretty crap week until today. Guess why? Instead of the morning shows they have been playing music most of the 10-minute-ish drive to school, which means no fun conversations!! It seriously does throw off the rest of my days.
I really wanted to call in on today's Preston and Steve. They were talking about your worst injury that could probably never be topped. If I knew the number I definitely would have told them the story of when I ended up getting hit in the face with the seat of a metal-spring-loaded see-saw.
Figures I make a good topic for once and it circles the shitter. |

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh precious child. devert thine eye's from the devil known ass "who who" (like an owl) that's how he laughs apparently.
i don't listen to him. he stinks and he know's it. he never try's anymore and he has that fat stupid hole named robin. As she does is comment she add's nothing to the show all she says is stuff like.
"oh boys your going to get us all in trouble."
"oh yeah, yes, uh huh, uh yes,"
"ha ha ha ha ha your so funny boys."
stupid fat meaty pile. i hate her with a passion. i wouldn't hate her if she just said something different.
Howard stern says that all of radio rips him off. he speaks nothing but lies. my favorite show is the OPIE & ANTHONY SHOW ON XM SATTELITE RADIO. They made up the thing calle the "WOW STICKER"
its basically when you get the WOW sticker and put it on your car and chicks that love the show on Wednesday's are supposed to flash the guys.
Ol' howwy. says he had the idea of putting a bandana on your car. LIE's. How do you get a bandana on your car like a sticker. OL' ho ho is going to get what's comming to him.
ANYWAYS
*******************
to my favorite morning show. i listen to the opie and anthony show. also known as O&A. they usually have a 3rd mic. with one of my favorite comedians. known as lil' jimmy Norton.
hes so funny and stuff. he add's to the show and makes my life better when hes on. but he's currently on his HBO special so he's not on the O&A show right now. they just get people like bill burr or someone else to fill up his mic.
they people on the show that are so strange that b/c of O&A they are made stars. this halloween on the Maury show. a lady on the show every once in a while known as "stalker Patty" is getting a makeover and they have people like "BIG A" he mumbles and stutters and can't speak well and is big an hairy. .
now they moved to an earlier time slot from 3 to 8am :(
they moved for the Ron an Fez show. there old buddies of O&A so i don't blame them. but now i'm forced to listen to ron and fez. there all right but there no O&A
as the O&A pests say. LIKE ME OF COURSE. ;)

Meh, I still like howard stern. My kinda humor, sadly. And I like his movie, Private Parts. I don't get E!, so I'd never seen the televised version of his show until I was in San Diego watching tv in a hotel. It was the one where the 50-year-old model put out the calendar claiming she still looked 20, and they kept insulting her 'cause she wouldn't take her clothes off and prove it.
Then they invited her back and worshipped her when they found out she was the Hot For Teacher girl.
I don't like the radio anyway and would only listen to howard when I had nothing better to do at 4am. Good times... _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Radio sucks by the very nature of what it is. The average radio listener tunes in for 17 minutes, and in that time they want to hear songs they're familiar with. That leads to the same selection of songs/artists played over and over. Doesn't matter the station, they all have favorites they play all the time.
Satellite radio is ok just because they don't need to play the same song every fifteen minutes and please the average listener. They can specialize and be different. But I also don't have $200 to buy an XM radio and can't afford the monthly subscription. Standard radio sucks. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

that unfortunately is the problem nowadays.
it does cost a bundle to get a satellite radio. either sirius or XM. Then you have to pay the like $13 bucks a month for the service.
in return you do get mostly commercial free stations and even get adult channels where they actually get to curse and not be sue'd or fined b/c of it. sattelite radio give a new meaning to the radio world.
but it is expensive after a while.
I listen to it at
work 4hours
driving time 2 hours
plus additional driving time on errands or going to get food. half an hour
so i listen to atleast 6 and a half hours of radio daily.
