I've got....
-Gamecube
-N64
-NES
-Nintendo DS
-Gameboy Advance
-PS2 (which was only purchased in order to play Soul Calibur 3. I am a Soul Calibur whore.)
I have a thing against Xbox. Namely that it's the spawn of Satan. _________________ a jelly calypso castle in the sky |

Yes, and we all that know Sony isn't the giant monopolizing mogul of the electronics industry.
Hmm the Xboxs CPU is a 733 MHz chip. The graphics processor is 250MHz custom chip named XGPU. The total memory is 64 MB running at 200MHz DDR (Double-Data-Rate).
PS2 CPU is only a 294MHz chip while its graphics processor is only a 147MHz chip. As for memory, well, 8 MB per card aint that much, is it? And the I/O processor only runs at 36 MHZ.

GameCube has better specs than the PS2, I hear. Has some better games, too, but... much fewer of 'em.

Why do you people diss Microsoft when Sony uses the souls of the unborn to power it's electronics?
Yeah, I guess PlayStation has good games if you like rpgs. The same. Repetitive. Anime styled rpgs. Over and over and over. <_<
GameCube has never failed to delight me. The system is so underrated. _________________

I agree. Seriously. I may have less gamesfor the 'Cube, but I like a very much higher percentage of those games, than the ones on my PS2. _________________ Strata here: Nanowrimo - FAC - dA - FA

I'm a little late on this thread. But here's my list:
Sega Genesis
Sega Saturn
Nintendo 64
Sega Dreamcast (2 of them)
Xbox (2 of them)
Playstation 2
Gamecube
Game boy advance SP
Nintendo DS
Xbox 360 (got it on launch!)
I'd say I'm the least satified with the 64 and the PS2. The rest I think I got my moneys worth.

Because xbox started with a falier of a remote. its better now.
Actualy the X-box has better RPG graphics. But the playstation is better at doing sports games cause the remotre is set up in a very user friendly setup.
Nintindo's are fun but the remote is way different and its Specs are way low compared to both X-Box and PS2.
I may be rong so Wikipedia it.
The playstation can have a 100 Megabyte Hard Drive installed and its online use is cheep cumpared to X-box.
But I prefer User frendly and good game play. Graphics mean nothingf to me AS long as I think its fun. That means the PS1 is my real favorite. The remote is just the right size for my hands. and a lot of games are fun _________________ |

It's controller? I actually prefer the original XBox controller to the S controller. Just fits my hands better. The S is alright, but the location of the black and white buttons is horrendous (ok, thats an overreaction, but I still prefer the original). It just feels small and cramped. This is the same reason I'm not big on the newer version of the GB Advanced. Just too damn small. The PSP did it right with the wide shape of the unit, spacing the hands out at a more comfortable angle.
The PlayStation controller is the least ergonomic thing I have ever held. Play with it for a few hours, and my hands are aching. Having both your index and middle fingers extended to use the shoulder buttons takes support away from your hand and it just feels unnatural holding it. The XBox controllers meld to the way your hands move and fits comfortably.

God I can't stand people that gripe about the controllers. Here's one, Sony's pads bug the s#!t out of me, cause they don't have letters like the rest.
But yeah people always say every controller is too big. Aside from sony's controller. Just how small are their hands!? Anyway, I can live with all of them aside from the annoying lack of letters on the sony controller.
Thee only controller that really gave me pain was the original nintendo controller. Those sharp edged buttons gave me my first callouses.
But I do agree with VR, the placement of the start and back button on the s-controller are absurd.
As for the trigger thing, I regret to report the 360 controller is set up that way (with shoulder and triggers). But they do feel alright as far as the hand conforming with them.
Now everybody is gonna hate me here, but one of my favorite controllers was the dreamcast's. I still think they look awesome. And they seemed to conform the best to my hands.
My least favorite though would be the 64's... the third leg thing... was just awkward. |

The Dreamcast controllers were soooooo comfortable. It really saddens me that that system went down the tubes. It had potential.
But yeah, controllers and comfort are a big issue with me that can make or break a gaming experience. I use my hands all the time, be it painting, cutting carboard for 3-d modles, what have you. Lately, especially, I've been getting pains that are almost on the verge of carpel tunnel or something crazy like that. So I don't want to be using a controller that only adds to that. _________________

What? Letter's who cares if the controlers have letters why do you actually need all those buttons unless it's a first person shooter! Cause other than Halo all the other X-Box games suck! It's kind of hard to get a grip when're you're female too, when's the last time you ever been with a chick? Most females have small hands. I don't however but I still dont' like the controllers it's uncomfortable after an hour your hands are already tired from trying to reach around to hit a button! All I'm saying is make things less complicated then they are get rid of some buttons and make things at a comfortable size for both average male and female players. |

When's the last time you've been touched by a man?
Pretty much every game I know of makes full use of the button spectrum to some degree. And horray for mindless brand loyalty! Every game sucks, huh? *sigh* let me ramble off the list:
Call of Duty
KOTOR
Jade Empire
Prince of Persia (Sands of Times and Warrior Within)
Morrowind
Hitman
LOTR Return of the King
Silent Hill
Republic Commandoes
Time Splitters
Deus Ex: Invisible War
Splinter Cell
Full Spectrum Warrior
Ghost Recon
Spider-Man 2
Stubbs the Zombie
Odd World
Psychonauts
Star Wars Battlefront
BLACK
the list goes on and I don't feel like naming any more.... _________________
