Fac Is Getting Bigger....

Well you know how there are two photo threads right? And how the first one was closed becuase it got to big? Is it possible for that to happen to a website?

I was just thinking we could have a "spillover site" or something. Maybe, (if its possible) there could be a second version of FAC. If there were two diffrent FAC's we could limit submissions to the first site and have a second, newer site were there won't be as much stuff (thus solving downloading problems).

I don't think that its a "server problem" in this case, but that there are TOO MANY USERS.

Nah, it is a server problem, mostly. Big websites have massive server resources to deal with the number of people. FAC just keeps having to adapt as more people join. Be patient.

FAC is huge and I am working on stuff to help with its growth.

Right now its spread across 3 servers and is being designed to support being spread over even more servers as needed.

Server IS a computer isn't it? Do they run out of memory or somethin'?

FAC can run out of memory, but I am able to more or less manage its memory usage.

Disk space is becomeing a bit of a problem, but is still under control and its not that hard to add more harddrives if it becomes necessary.
