[i][b]I have only been to one concert, 'cause I'm poor. (Actually, because my stepmother had gotten in trouble for taking my sister to concerts with my dad's money and not telling me until just before they left. That B****) I went to an Abba concert. It wasn't even really them. I sat in the back of the stadium, looking through bonoculars, a fat woman wearing a see throw dress and a thong stood up in front of me and gave me a view I wouldn't mind never seeing again.

haha abba that's so cool. i saw the play Mamma Mia, which is based on their songs, but i dont know too much about them. that sucks about your seating arrangements tho!!
um good charlotte... eh dont get me started
hmmm i've only been to 3 real concerts, and also a couple of local shows.
-my first was the pop disaster tour with Saves the Day (who used to be awesome), Green Day, and blink 182 at madison square garden. it was so cool because we got to sit in the box since my mom got the tickets from her work, which owns a box there or something. it was my friends 1st concert, too (who's a huge blink fan) so i didnt feel like a total dork to be so excited and spastic (most people in my area go to concerts all the time, so i felt dumb being at my 1st when i was in 8th grade). it was tons of fun tho! travis did this cool thing where his drum set rose into the air and started spinning while he played this wicked drum solo.
-my 2nd was zootopia at giants stadium. lol i got free tickets. it was the same weekend as the pop disaster tour, so me and the same guy went to zootopia and made fun of most of the artists (hehe aaron carter and celine dion were there). i like alanis morissette tho (the first cd i ever got was her).
-my 3rd was Skate and Surf at asbury park last year. it was awesome!! i saw reel big fish (1 of my favorite bands), midtown, alkaline trio, bouncing souls, senses fail (the most amazing screamo band), brand new (just.... amazing), and reggie and the full effect. oo it was so fun i went with my friend who has superb taste in music and we had pretty good seats that were alittle bit above the mosh pit (she was in the mosh pit for warped tour and was almost trampled, so now she's scared to go in one). it was indoors so after awhile it got all hot and smoky (and it obviously wasnt just cigarettes) but it was definitely worth it!!
wow sorry for all the rambling!! *koff, koff* *ahem* carry on with your concert-goings! _________________ i fought the war, but the war won |

I saw the Whirling Dervishes. Oh, and the Blue Man Group. And Sleater-Kinney. And a bunch of other people you don't know. I've played my own local show. We rocked. _________________ "I've got a sticky Darodo!"

Umm, only been to one concert, and i don't dare say what the hell it was, i am so f**king ashamed of it, but i was only like 7 i think and it was me and mommy. But umm, i don't go to concerts really, i hate huge crowds like that, and al lthe ones i'd like to go to, either have old woman throwing under wear up on the stage at them, or mosh pits, and i don't do well with the violent s**t, anyone throw me down or hit me, and they're be neutered with a jagged, rusted knife.....
umm, sorry about that guys...hehehe...
yeah... |

Yes, "The ______s" is a popular (and annoying) trend. Come on, be a little creative in the naming of your groups, people... _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

*Cough*The Treaps*Cough* We were very original, though.

cool! metallica is awesome
umm yea the "the ____'s" trend is rather annoying. the problem is, a lot of them are actually good bands (the hippos, the clash, the foo fighters, the hellacopters). i just wish they would STOP and be more original.
hehe the darkness. my friend is obsessed with that song "i believe in a thing called love." every time i see him he steals my ipod or laptop and starts blasting it. _________________ i fought the war, but the war won |

Hmmn... best concert i've been 2. Hmmn... hmmn... I don't usually go to concerts due to the fact I am always broke n 2 lazy 2 get a job. But I always go 2 the annual battle of the bands and check out the local talent. not 2 shabby...
other than that this past October, i went to the Livid festival in Brisbane. It was f**king awesome. Got there at... hmmn... about 9am... to a line about 2kms long... so me n my friend just cut in, no way in hell are we going 2 wait for 3 hours 2 get in, miss one of the bands we went 2 c, n boil in the sun. plus hundreds of other dishonest ppl were doing it 2. ahhh being apart of the majority. how s**t.
but yeah, they wouldnt let us have chains n s**t, so i nearly lost my wallet on numerour occasions, and they nearly took my belt away... but i just freighned innocence n ran past the security guard... every1 under 18 were issued a obnoxiously ugly neon pink wrist tag... ugh. i felt like a poof.
one of my friends from the area came as well, n we ended up screaming in2 our phones trying 2 hear eachother, running throu the crowd n steppin on ppl... after about 10 mins of this, we ended up away from the crowd, still screamin in2 our phones, looked up, and she was about 2m in front of me... heheh....
I saw some pretty good bands, but they scheduled some of them dodgedly. like, 2 cool bands on at the same time... **shakes fist**
saw Sunk loto, not-2-shabby australian band. came outta the mosh pit completely drenched in my own sweat n god knows how much of other ppls... there were 2 fuckin fat chicks rite up the front of the pit thou... argh!! they were sweaty, n ugly... n sweaty... n fat. they both had straggely long hair... caked with... crap n they were wearing itty bitty singlets, n tiny tiny skirts. it was beyond wrong.
wandered around all day, pissed ppl off... just the general kinda s**t. there werent n e worthwile bands for about... another 4 hours, so we sat up in the stands, away from the sun n the heat. about 4 oclock we decided we'd go in2 the pit, 6 hours b4 the band we went 2 c was 2 play. stupid? yes. but there was about 4 good bands b4 them, n we'd never get in if we went n e later. Saw some of Pacifier, also saw my friend practically having sex with a shifty columbian man named "Joe" - "Joe the drug trafficer" mayb? I left her at it n told her 2 find me when she finished with her new friend.
Saw Frenzal Rhomp? f**k knows how 2 spell it... got knocked around a bit... punched a dude... nothin 2 interesting. Then it was the Living End. Awesome Aus. band... they went off... then... some Rap band... nearly died. Argh... definately not my kind of music... I think it was Jurassic 5 or something. 1 1/2 hours of crap music. By now my friend had found me n she was making lots of new friends in her special kinda way. Finally, Linkin Park came on. I'd made new friends of my own **smutty grin** n linkin park went off. My friend from the local area got a LP drumstick... and i got... **another smutty grin** But thats not the point people. The white stripes were on some other dingy little stage... I was at the main stage for the whole day. I had a damned good day.
13 hours at the festival, 6 spent in the mosh pit, many awesome bands n lotsa new friends.... hehehehe
I was planning on going 2 a similar festival in January... the Big Day Out... Metallica r headlineing. I was gonna go 4 A Perfect Circle, but they pulled out... bastards... oh well... That was a long account... sorry bout that. I get carried away alot. Cheers,
-Lucien |

great story, hansel! (zoolander, anyone?) lol i liked the cell fone thing (the same thing's happened to me at fairs and such) and joe the shifty columbian. Pacifier is cool, but i have to admit i haven't heard of/am not a fan of the other bands you listed. it still sounded like a pretty cool concert, tho _________________ i fought the war, but the war won |
