We should eat him. But since that wont happen we should sentence him to 20 years of anal rape in jail.

i picked the very first one
actually if he had life in jail he wouldent have to care about med. or finding food
and instead of living in a hole or a cave he would actually have a bed he would get to exersise i think we should shoot him or hang him

Life Imprisonment because personally I don believe in the Death Sentance. Now If he was just locked in a room, left there to rot, and forgotten about, it'd be ok with me.

i c
well i think they should be sentaced to death if it was for a good reason
but no not everyone.
i dont think its right when they will sentance people to death when their completly innocent and the people who go out their and kill over 300 people only get like 20 years in prison. that pisses me off

He doesn't have much more of a life to live, so the life sentence would be pointless. Honestly, I don't care what they do with him. It's not like Saddam was running anything out of the 'spider hole' and I don't really believe he was as dangerous as the American gov't made him out to be.

People say it was to free the people and stop the killing of innocents.. If you ask me, they're less free than they were in the first place. (Though they did get Pepsi, YAY Pepsi!) As for the innocents, many were killed on the way to the palace.. and there are other Dictators and Wars going on in the world where many more innocent people are killed than when Saddam was in power. Take a good look at Africa, for example. Wars (tribal and otherwise) are going on there all the time, no one does anything about them, why? Because they don't matter to the big greedy governments..

Why go after Saddam and completly forget about Osama? Screws loose, I'm tellin' ya. Or could it be that Bushy Jr wanted to avenge his father (thars oil in them thar hills!)? It's a corrupt system, and I don't like it. But , I'll get off of my soap box before I go about making an @$$ out of myself talking about the death penalty and other points that were brought up in the thread thus far.

whats in afganistand to rebuild in the first place doesnt everyone live in caves.
the only reason were being nice now is for all the oil in afganistand everyone knows that. (plz note that im not trying disrespecting any of the conturys) ^_^

The amount of American arrogance in this thread alone is staggering. How Americans really believe we're such an amazing little protector of the world is beyond me. It's not and never has been about helping other people. Why'd we invade Iraq? Oil. But of course that wouldn't look good, so we have to say they're a threat, and we must free the people. As Chrissy said, you don't see us going to liberate any of the countries without oil. And this pathetic excuse for patriotism is sickening. People preaching about avenging september 11th. Here's a newsflash for ya; those events happen all the time in other countries, let alone day-to-day terrorizing, but does anyone in the US give a shit? No, because it's not us, and that's disgustingly arrogant.

As for what to do with Saddam, it doesn't matter. Saddam, the man, was never even the problem from the beginning. People don't support the man; they support the idea. Captured or not, the people who support him will continue to do so and carry out his ideals. We can do whatever we want to him, but it's all a big show and won't make a difference.

Call me ignorant or anti-American, but it's every fool with an American flag bumper sticker they bought on September 12th, celebrating "We got Saddam!" who is ignorant.

I have to agree with Chris on this one. After writing that whole paper on whether or not we should go to war with Iraq, I couldn't give two shits about Saddam. I mean, he was an asshole and he did do bad things but so do a lot of other people, but are we sending our troops out to find their sorry @$$ to bring them back to our country so we can kill them or do whatever the hell WE see fit? I don't think we have the right to take his sorry life away from him. If you want to throw him in prison, sure. But don't kill the guy! If we were to have captured Osama Bin Ladin, I'd say "go for it, get the fucker back", but we didn't. We got Saddam, the guy who didn't even really do anything. I mean, I know he has ties to all this s**t, but did he come right out and bomb us? No he did not. Whatever.. Chris, get back up on your soap box and PREACH IT, BROTHA!

Isn't it, like, illegal to take someone out of their country to try them in America (or wherever) by that country's standards?

What will be really disgusting is if getting Saddam wins him the election. I highly doubt it will, but his chances have now been increased from "no chance in hell" to "when hell freezes over". The whole thing working against him was absolutely no results in Iraq, but surely people can see that Saddam is meaningless. However, the media and white house will of course hype it to obscene levels like we've just captured Hitler.

It annoys me knowing that Bush'll get all the credit for that 'capture.' He didn't do a damn thing except answer his phone after his restful slumber. The funniest part, they found him by accident.

Yes, it's USUALLY illegal, but I think it's something like... if the country gives it's consent you can take the person out? In the case of Iraq, we control it right now, so we had no problem just taking Saddam away... If Bush wins, I hope the curse comes true.
