Yeah, no s**t, personally, i know this sounds really horrible and i honestly don't mean to offend anyone, but if i was told i could, i would burn Manchester to ashes. I hated that place so god damn much. I lived there for five years and i noticed my depression got really bad while i was there. They were all so rude, and i found out the british are nothing like they are told in the movies. <_<
I told my mom if i went back for the wedding when she asked me, that i'd rather shot myself and pull my nails out one by one. And yes, i know hwo disgusting and disturbing that is, but i think it's safe to say that i will never set foot in the country again. I know there are nicer places, but i didn't find to many of them, and i had been all over the country. I'm just sticking the the usa, northeast really. and maybe a country here and there but no more England for me.
But yes, Manchester is just plain bad <_<
And boss man, england is not cold, it's just chilly and wet. lol. Come to the states and take a trip with me up to Vermont. lol, then you will know what cold is. Even NYC is cold than the UK, not to mention we know what real snow fall is. But that's all good. |

Ah i see so your time was not all that great...can i just ask you, the way us english are depicted in movies, is that like with monacles and drinking teas in a summer garden or butler for a posh family because thats how it seems from most american tv programs i.e Fresh Prince <_<
I just wanted to know how you guys saw us over here obviously before you came over here that is
Oh yeah and england is cold and wet and miserable *brrrr* |

I never followed the American interpretation of English ppl. I always thought they talked and acted just like us, but they just had different slang an meanings for words here or there and whatever. Like lorry and cuppa and all that. And sod you. I love it when some ppl say that. But not all comedies and movies portray English like that. There's this guy on a show called Eve and he talks real regular like, altho I think I have heard him say mate a couple times. So I dunno what I'm saying... -_-
And even tho you guys say that England is all cold and dark and miserable, whatever, that won't stop me from visiting one day. I'm just curious, is all. But you know what some say, curiosity killed the cat, so I'm still not sure I really want to go. But I do love the rain and cold(I am not a depressing person ) Never seen snow before, cos I live in California. It doesn't snow in England, does it? Do I seem like I'm rambling? I wanna go to New York, too, and just shop ^_^ |

Go to Amsterdam instead. Man, if there was ever a better place for a "short layover" to turn into a cancelled flight 'cause of engine trouble...
Anyway, I like England. Rude or not, just makes me fit in even more. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Amsterdam = pot and whores.
You should be me, catrina. Physically incapable of tanning (Irish...Norwegian...Polish...no surprise).
And I live in the Pacific NW where it rains constantly, anyway, so of course I've never had a problem with England's weather. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Everything is so..happy
*ahem* Nevermind, the smiley face wars were a few pages back..
Why go to England when you can get nearly the same thing in Australia, but better! ;)
Look at me, I can't seem to finish a post. Amsterdam, heh. Lovely place. Haven't been, but I've heard good things. Certain drugs are legal in Germany, too.. amongst other places. _________________ "I've got a sticky Darodo!"

it was never meant to go on and on. i simply asked a question directed to u, and everyone jumped in.
people yell at me for
a) goin off topic
chaging subject entirely
i like those things cause: CONVERSATION TENDS TO DO THAT, SHIFT FROM TOPIC TO TOPIC U FOOLS. lol.
u cant actually expect disscusions to last, over and over and over,. cause people run outta things to say, and then, the discussion runs out of people to say things. so, technically going off topic and changing subjects is the right thing to do, at the APPROPRIATE time, and peeps that tell u that u cant do that, well, they are dictators, lol.
ttyl. |

Ah, but there is a difference between a shift and a complete change in subject, especially when the first subject is still perfectly fine.
And if saying I'd like to have a conversation without a random post right in the middle of it saying "swiss cheese has holes" makes me a dictator....well slap my arse and call me Hitler. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |
