Since its almost Turkey Day, I think its appropriate to start a few threads based on this holiday. ^_^

This one is straightfoward. What will you be eating at the Thanksgiving dinner this year? Are you a traditional turkey-stuffing-mashed potatos with gravy type of person or do you do things a little differently? Share your holiday recipies and meal plans here. Razz

We already had Thanksgiving in Canada. I had a traditional (re: gigantic) dinner with my extened family, as usual.

American thanksgiving is WAY too close to Christmas, the family reunion starts being redundant.

Yep, we have it something like one month before the United States. I think it's because it's cold here faster or something.

Sadly, my mom dosn't celebrate thanksgiving Sad
I don't like turkey too much anyway Wink

It's just gonna be me, my stepmom, my dad, and my grandma. And maybe a few of my dad's friends if they're not doing anything special. D: We normally have a huge party in which we invite EVERYBODY, but we're renovating our house this year so our party can only be small.

We were trying to get our own turkey, but we've had no luck. They all run onto Private Property where you can't shoot them. Bastards.

So we'll be having a storebought one. *sigh* Not sure what the other dishes will be, though.

I don't really mind all the family reunions..mostly because I have no family to reunite with.

I'm spending thanksgiving with two neighboring families that I've gotten pretty close with in the past two months. We all don't really have any family to visit this holiday season so we're for once we're celebrating the holidays with people we actually like.

I think my family has to bring mashed potatos and gravy and pies. My boyfriend's family is providing the turkey and stuffing I think..and the other family is providing everything else including a house to eat in.^_^

I'm really looking foward to this Thanksgiving. I'm gonna spend it with my family and friends that are just like family.Smile

Actual Thanksgiving = Family + Grandparents

Thanksgiving weekend = someone else

It's pretty good. :3 It tastes different because the food they eat is different.

We never have family reunions on Christmas. We usually have those on Thanksgiving, if we have any at all. They're usually a pain because we're the ones who have to trvel. My whole family lives in either Penn. or Maryland, and we're 3k miles away in CA. D:

Me, myself, and I. Probably spaghetti 'cause I've got plenty of sauce in the freezer from last time, and it's quick. And I hate turkey and all the various other thanksgiving foods with a passion.

Either that or fried rice. My roommate is gone all week, so I get to be aloooone and happy, no one waking me up at 9am by taking a shower, and no need to turn my tv way down at 11, mmmm... Happy thanksgiving to me. W00t!

Were I at home, I'd have to take a 9 hour car ride to my grandparents' house, sit around for five days doing nothing with no computer and 6 channel cable, and eat lousy food. California roxxorz. W00t!
