11 people now... and it's raining slightly. It's supposed to rain/snow all night. The temperature is supposed to drop to 16 or below.

All the associates are laughing hisatically at these people. On associate actually took a picture of the huge stack of them that's in the cash office to go and show all the people waiting. I do not know what their reaction was to that o.o I must go find him and ask him. >.>

Apparently, if the weekly regional advertisements are to be believed, our local store will also start selling 360's tomorrow as well. No midnight lines here, though... we're still opening the doors no sooner than the normal 7:00 am. (That's how we treated the release of HP:HBP)

Personally, though, I gotta go fetch my soapbox and point out why the 360 isn't the next generation to the art of Gaming... just the next generation of [i]games[/i]....

5:30-ish to midnight. I was there. It's now 2:20 and my head is about to EXPLODE! I want to play it more but I can't take it anymore. My body is dead from fighting off the coldness. . . . .

I got Perfect Dark Zero. :wub: Call of Duty II was sold out, and you HAVE to have a good shooter for the X360, so...yea....

Amazing game. I love it. The graphics made my mom feel sick in less than a minute! NEW RECORD! She gets motion sick easily and stuff or something, it's funny.

Thank the gods! I even get to play it until the end of the weekend. Then it'll sit in a box waiting for Christmas. (my parents were GRACIOUS enough to let me play for a couple days before they tormented me with it. Rolling eyes

I need sleep.

being in the land down under sux, coz we wont c da 360 till late feb-early march.
im heaps keen 4 perfect dark it looks amazing, also dead or alive4 and kameo are up there as well.

News from my area, as my day progressed:

6:30 a.m. -- Saw five people waiting in line when I arrived at 6:30 a.m. There were signs all over the doors on the south entrance saying to use the other door, a sign on one door saying "Line up here" (I'm sure the larger stores needed them). Someone had added to the signs, "4 Core + 14 Premium 360's". Read it, we got a total of 18 units.
6:40 a.m. -- Saw, on KPDX news, a brief glimpse (from their news helicopter) of a Beaverton Best Buy, with a line of about 100 people lined up in front of it waiting for the store to open. Whoa.
7:00 a.m. -- Saw about ten people in the Electronics section, presumably doing nothing other than buying the 360.
7:30 a.m. -- Noticed that the signs had been taken down from the doors. Obviously, we must've sold out by now.

12 p.m. -- Lunchtime. Saw some of the 360 games remaining on the shelf with the X-box games, but no time to look while on lunch.

3:30 p.m. -- Off work. Wanted to ask the electronics people how quickly the units had sold, but didn't see/recognize anyone from the morning shift to go ask.
4:00 p.m. -- Visited the local secondhand store (I drop by a lot, and occasionally talk with the owner about stuff like games). He said he called up at about 9am, and was told that the 360's (all 18 of them) had sold out virtually right at 7:00.

Wow.

Last night I had this one psychotic lady yelling at me about how her nefew had better get a 360 or there would be trouble, even after I assused her that since he was fifth in line he would definatly get one, she insisted in speaking with my manager to confirm this. And after about an hour of talking with both me and my manager she still was not reassured that her nefew would get one so she insisted that we get someone from corperate on the phone. She talked on the phone with them for about another hour. After that she finally left.

But was she satisfied?

NO!

About an hour later she returned this time demanding that Kenny (my manager) type out an actual official letter on circuit city letterhead guarantying that her nefew would get one (Which I ended up writing cause my manager always claims he's not good at that sort of stuff, I always end up writing his store announcements too ^^; ). So she left again.

But was that the end...?

OF COURSE NOT!

She actually came back a third time demanding the cell phone number of the store director so she could get even further assurance directly from him. At this point Kenny flat-out refused and she ended up storming out.

Luckily that was the last we aw of her. Though I imagine if we were open even later she would have been back. She had a highly annoying voice as well.

And people thought the campers were crazy >.>

I did a couple more missions in Perfect Dark Zero. :wub: Gawd I love being a hot chick that pwns a bunch of idiot guys that shoot bullets all around you. Cool

That game is amazing. I also got the headset, my dad got a faceplate(awesome red, maybe I'll get a pic of it to you guys), a rechargable battery for the wireless controller (I had to get that one because I got the core set), and Call of Duty 2.

I went from days of sonic the hedgehog and pokemon to Halo 2 and Call of Duty 2. wtf?!
