"Stairway to Heaven" - Led Zeppelin
"When the Levee Breaks" - Led Zeppelin (horribly enough the number one choice on a "songs you won't hear on New Orleans radio" forum game. )
"Patience" - Guns N' Roses
"Estranged" - Guns N' Roses
"Free Fallin" - Tom Petty
"Don't Close Your Eyes" - KIX
"In A Darkened Room" - Skid Row
"Wasted Time" - Skid Row
"Hot One" - Shudder To Think/Velvet Goldmine
"Ballad Of Maxwell Demon" - Shudder To Think/Velvet Goldmine
"No More Tears" - Ozzy
"Home Sweet Home" - Motley Crue
"18 and Life" - Skid Row
"Ashes To Ashes" - David Bowie
"As The World Falls Down" - David Bowie
"Fire In The Sky" - Ozzy
"House Of Pain" - Faster Pussycat
"In My Darkest Moment" - Hanoi Rocks
"Loving The Alien" - Velvet Revolver
"Kangaroo Died" - Placebo demo
"Jackie" - Placebo cover
"The Ballad of Melody Nelson" - Placebo cover (the spoken verses in Brian's low humming voice...*brain malfunction*)
"Free Bird" - Lynryrd Skynryd
"Million Miles Away" - Hanoi Rocks
"Protege Moi" - Placebo (or Protect Me From What I Want...but it's prettier in French. And I don't even like French.)
"My Sweet Prince" - Placebo
"Bubblegun" - Placebo
"Lady Of The Flowers" - Placebo
"Centrefolds" - Placebo
"Life On Mars" - David Bowie
"Dream On" - Aerosmith
"How You Gonna See Me Now" - Alice Cooper
"Theatre Of The Soul" - Poison
"Until You Suffer Some (Fire and Ice)" - Poison
"Be The One" - Poison
"Nobody's Fool" - Cinderella
"The Man Who Sold The World" - Bowie
"Miles Away" - Winger
"Alone Again" - Dokken
"I Saw Red" - Warrant
....Placebo and Bowie are almost the only bands I listen to that have pretty songs. Most power ballads aren't pretty. And the ones that are are stupid and I don't like them. Meh. I'll think of others that aren't Placebo or Bowie. _________________ "I care about people as much as I care about lawn furniture" - Dexter/Michael C. Hall |

Yoko Shimamura (Legend of Mana Soundtrack) - City of Flickering Destruction
Absolutely beautiful, is the least I can say about this. When I hear this, it's like I can actually feel the pain, the sadness, the bleak hope, It's, as the title says, flickering..
As for songs with vocals..白夜 from Summon Night EX Thesis, just, wow. Thats just..wow. (I SURE AM GOOD WITH WORDS) And alot of the music from series like Kanon and AIR give me chills.
As for music not related to Anime or games, Psychic TV's The Orchids Is wonderful. It fills me with a feeling of joy and happiness, and paints me a picture of a perfect world, or an occult one..Of course, alot of Psychic TV's stuff back then was great, before they got all techno and wierd. D: And the Arcade Fire - Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)..Thats just..Wow, great on so many levels. The lyrics, the singing, the music..just perfect.
 I'm done. _________________ |

I'm going to go ahead and say the most un-mainstream song of all:
Lilium, by Konishi Kayo and Konda. I will never get tired of that song...
...well, I'm not really into rock or popular music anymore, so i basically don;t have a list... _________________ Makes you wonder, doesn't it? |

Has anyone seen the Funny Junk movie w/ that music in the background and the old people? All this talk of Kiss From a Rose made me dig up my mp3 of MiG Ayesa singing it. *brain melt* His voice is so pretty. I've never liked Seal, but...it's a nice song. I just prefer MiG or someone else singing it.
Peter Frampton's "Baby I Love Your Way" when sung by MiG as well. Needs that strong edge. He starts like...crying in the middle, though. How rock n' roll.
"Last Train" - Cinderella
"Night Moves" - Bob Seger
"Wind of Change" - Scorpions
"Cosmic Dancer" - T.Rex (pretty much all 70s glam is pretty...except...Gary Glitter and the like)
"The Angel Song" - Great White mmmm cheese. The music and vocals are just pretty, not the words.
