I always dreamed of directing a movie. I had all kinds of idea's that were different from most of what we see in the threatre these days. Shucks, when i was a kid, i'd act out my own movies on the playground seriously i did that and yes... people laughed when i acted out a scene where i was beaten up.... :(
I went so far as to start writing my own screenplay. And i used it as the subject of a writing test in my english lit class in highschool. People loved it But i've had other idea's for movies. Like... a million It would be awesome to have one made, you know. Has anyone else done the same, with writing a screenplay or just dreaming up a movie in your head? I have a few to tell, i'll tell them later, need sleep now.. _________________ "edit : i luv james" - Layzcarter |

I have never made my own movie, but I was present during the filming and editing of "Terror Finds a New Mode of Transportation" by my crush and his friends. _________________ |

lmao...
ya i thought up a movie about giant flying tadpoles when i was ten. there were three sequels to it, and a few different species of flying tadpoles. There was the fire tadpole, the one made of water, and my favorite... the one made of steel :3
shutup, it would have made a higher gross than Attack of the Killer Tomatoes... maybe not.. but definatley be better than Attack of the killer Bread Loaf _________________ "edit : i luv james" - Layzcarter |

I really want to direct my own movie. I submitted a script to some contest in CA, and I hope it gets somewhere because I really worked my fingers to the bone working on it. I had to read, like, ten scripts to begin to get the gist of how to write a screenplay. Now I just hope this skill gets me somewhere.
Which it probably won't. Grrr... _________________ What does it all MEAN? |

I don't know how to write a script at all, but i really want to cuz i have a million ideas for movies. Mainly becuase most of the stories I right are about movie lentgh and then i think of all these great songs that would work well for them. Lately i've been thinking of writing a script (once i learn how) for a historical film about Deborah Sampson who was this kick ass lady who fought in the revoloutionary war disguised as a man. I know what your thinking, American version of Mulan. But Deborah is way cooler. SHe gets shot in the leg and becuase she doesn't want her secret out, she takes out the bullet by herself with nothing more than a knife. Now that would be a cool scene! |

A good place to go for scripts is www.simplyscripts.com They have EVERYTHING. And when I say everything, I mean everything. Good scripts to get ideas from (or at least for me) were:
Collateral
Raging Bull
The Devil's Advocate
Blade--nah, that wasn't much help, cut that
Good Will Hunting
But mainly Collateral. Collateral saved my butt. And Raging Bull and the last one. God Raging Bull is SUCH an awesome boxing movie.
Thought you'd like to know those sites. _________________ What does it all MEAN? |

Attack of the killer zucchini! Ahhh!
Boy, that would be pretty scary if you ask me. Me and my friends made these chin videos. Soooo hilarious. I'd try to make a link to 'em but I don't know how. But they were pretty funny, I must say.
Come to think of it, every little kid made their own flicks when they were little. I think kids are seriously super-producers because they make up, like, six movies a day just inside their wee little heads. Which is crazy. I used to do ones w/ beanie babies and stuffed animals when I was like, six. oh, and hot wheels. Yeah, I'd make movies w/ hot wheels. _________________ What does it all MEAN? |

Hehe I have always wanted to act in a movie. The entertainment industry is something that I am seriously starting to look into. But as far as making a movie goes, we're actually making one right now in my english class! Yes, my teachers is the coolest. It's this typical high school horror story where kids get stuck in detention and the demons invade the school killing all but one. I'm one of the producers for it, and I'm also doing the hair and make-up and acting. It can be kinda rough around the edges (try functioning on a zero dollar budget ), but it's fun once you get the hang of it. I didn't write the script for it, a couple of other people in our class did.
But appart from that, I'm currently working on a script for an animation. Some of my friends have the programs on the computer to digitaly animate it and put in the voices and stuff. That's going to be fun. And I'm also planing a follow up project that I came up with with the help of a few of my friends that will hopefully turn into a really good movie. So hopefully that will go somewhere If not... well then better luck next time, huh? ^_^ |

nice. I'd rather be the producer/director/writer than the actor. I can act, but not the best. There are some who are meant to do it and me? Nah. I work behind stage. Demons invading a school, huh? Your teacher sounds neato. _________________ What does it all MEAN? |

I once made a very historicaly accurate civil war film. My friends ran around in 'coon hats pretending to shoot each other while I manned the camera. I also re-wrote a stroy called "The fanclub" and filmed it for my mid-term last year. It had ninjas. _________________ I have magical female powers

In my school we do this thing called Cineclub:
This where children from a certain borough make a movie and show it to other schools
When i first doone it i starred as a mass murderer in a movie called "How not to survive a Scary movie" and my second movie which i wrote and directed was called "Short Blond Jack"
Beleive me if you want to become director, you have to know who you're main enemy is

Time
and also getting the casts which is also hard work |

To anyone who wants to make a movie and wants information on how or just needs some inspiration, I strongly sugest that you read Rebel Without a Crew, by Robert Rodriguez. It's the story of how he was able to make El Mariachi for only $7,ooo and all the problems he faced while trying to get it into theatres. |
